Chris Dunn, ALleigh, and the entire roofing team at Kingfisher did an amazing job on our home. Chris was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough in assessing our roof and providing the documentation required to deal with our insurance company. He even met the adjuster at our house to discuss findings and provide photos and videos. When it came time for the new roof to be installed, the roofing team worked effectively, efficiently, and thoroughly. In particular, we noted and appreciated how they cleaned as they went; they had one or two guys dedicated to repeatedly sweeping the area for debris or nails to ensure everything was picked up and dealing with haul-away. They also installed a much-needed cricket for our fireplace and replaced the old skylight in our primary bathroom. I can’t say enough good things about this company. In short, he is very professional and a pleasure to work with. The crew came on time and well-prepared. The job went smoothly. Initially, I had added a positive review for Kingfisher due to the high-quality roofing job they delivered and the speed of completion.

The negative part of this review is primarily concerning their lack of transparency and pricing practices. In hindsight, I regret not exploring other options more thoroughly to ensure fair pricing.

My disappointment began with their insistence on signing an exclusivity agreement, which wasn't clearly communicated upfront. Additionally, I was asked to provide insurance payout details, a decision I now recognize as potentially ill-advised.

Subsequently, when the contract was presented, it appeared to align with the insurance payout as if they used that as to set the price. However, during the installation process, my inquiries about additional work outside the original agreement were met with assurances that there were none. Yet, to my dismay, Kingfisher proceeded to tack on extra charges to my insurance claim without prior discussion or transparency.

In hindsight, I would caution others to thoroughly research and explore alternative options before committing to Kingfisher. Additionally, I advise against signing any exclusivity agreements and emphasize the importance of clarity regarding the scope of work to be undertaken...
