Normally, I’ve had good experiences with this company. I’ve purchased two units from them, paid for the maintenance plans, and they’ve always been friendly and have done good work. They’re a little pricier than most, but I don’t mind too much if they’re good.
Unfortunately, one bad technician has caused this company to leave a foul taste in my mouth. He came to figure out why I had water sitting in the drip pan and draining brown, rusty water down the side of my house.
First off, he was an automatic smarta__. His attitude was that of an IT guy that talks to you like you’re an inconvenience. He said the primary drain was clogged and asked if I had a bathroom nearby. I showed him the bathroom directly under the attic units (guest bathroom), and he asked no other questions. He didn’t tell me what he was doing and just went about his work bringing in two machines. One was a shop-vac and the other was similar looking, so I didn’t really think anything of it.
He later said he cleared the clog, closed up the attic and the ticket, and then left.
Bedtime rolls around and my wife was going into the master bath to give our 2 yr old a bath before bed.
These are pics of what she found. The technician didn’t ask if we had another bathroom upstairs, so when he cleared the line, it destroyed our master bathroom. I didn’t know our attic units drained into the sinks!
Anyway…I sent an email to AirTech’s service email address with my discontent and the pictures…and still have not gotten a response. Nothing. It’s been 2+ weeks...
