Their willingness to engage with my feedback and ensure everything was done to perfection really stood out. My roof installation was complex, as it was on a 4th-floor roof, and even my skylight installer refused to take on the project. Roof Squad, however, stepped up and offered to handle the skylight installation as an additional service, saving me the headache of having to find another installer. Even though the skylight measurements were wrong, Roof Squad accommodated and adjusted everything to make it work perfectly, which was a huge relief. What impressed me even more was the constant supervision throughout the project. Every day, someone from Roof Squad was on-site with drones, monitoring the progress and ensuring that everything was going according to plan. I chose Ernie Smith and Sons for my roof replacement project (that had a few extra things as well) after chatting with a few neighbors that had their roofs done last year and this company came highly recommended. My project was completed last week and I cannot say enough good things about this company! While renovations of any kind are naturally stressful, this company has been fantastic to work with! I have been through home renovations due to flood damage, updates after home purchase and at the workplace and each time the companies and contractors have done something to make the project harder than necessary or a true nightmare. Ernie Smith and Sons however, wow (!!!) they have a very professional and well-organized company that even while typing this still impresses me, I have personally worked for national and global corporations, and this is a very well run company from the customers perspective at least. From my first interactions with the sales rep Adam, office staff Julia to the project manager Marcus, everyone has been professional, knowledgeable and kind. I paid out of pocket for the roof so I asked a TON of questions of Adam about every single thing I could think of in the contract and about the project, and he continued to be polite and respond to all my thoughts/concerns/etc. even when I was getting on my own nerves 😊 Each time I called the office, all the individuals who I spoke with were polite and the point of contact for the office side Julia was also willing to help me navigate the process because my project was falling around a holiday and kept me informed about timing of warranty info and project closeout. The project manager, Marcus, amazing! He kept me informed of the project progress, answered questions, replied back to texts, etc., and was kind and responsive with all our interactions. The actual roof crew, they were fantastic! My project was scheduled for 2 days but took 4 days because of rain delays and issues they uncovered once the shingles came off. The roof crew explained issues they found and we asked them to use their professional opinion on what the best course of action was and I am confident this roof will last. I don’t work for this company or have any affiliation with them, but I can say honestly, if they had other home renovation/repair services other than roofing I would definitely keep coming back to them (hint hint)!
