Traci Schiska says: „Aire Serv saved the day. I frequently leave reviews but rarely add commentary especially long commentary but this situation calls for it. Once I reached out to Aire Serv, they responded quickly to my request for service and when another customer rescheduled, they called me right back to see if they could arrive earlier than originally scheduled. They did a fantastic job communicating with me and kept me informed of the issues with my air conditioner. The technician took a video of the problem in the attic and took the time to explain it all to me beforehand. He also explained the cost of the repair gave me options so that I could make an informed decision. I'd used another company last summer to replace the outdoor ac unit. So this summer I contacted that other company because while the ac did work and was cooling, it just wasn't cooling well in two bedrooms However once the technician arrived, instead of checking the coolant or measuring the air temp coming through the vents in those two rooms, he went into the attic for about 30 minutes and came down and said my blower motor needed to be replaced. My mental alarm Bells went off immediately . I politely disagreed and repeated what I had already told him about the house was cool except for two bedrooms so I knew the blower was working. I even walked over to the thermostat to turn the temperature down so he could hear the blower come on. Looking back I think I did that more for my sake than his. Well no surprise, the blower did not come on. He could not explain why it was blowing cold air before he arrived but stopped blowing all together after he came down out of the attic. I was very suspicious and asked him to provide a breakdown of the repair and cost. He said he needed to go get the part and then would send me the cost estimate. He did not come back with the part, did not send me an estimate for the cost, and I had to contact him when I had not heard from him by that evening. I couldn't sleep that night not only because it was hot but because I was worried that I was getting taken. When that company didn't return the next day or even contact me about the part or an estimate, I contacted Aire Serv. I was up front with them that all I wanted was a second opinion and I was willing to pay for the service call. As I said customer service was excellent and the technician took pictures of what he saw in the attic which confirmed for me that the other company had been dishonest. The fan was disconnected from the fan housing unit and the blower motor had been tampered with. The other company that I thought I could trust and had even recommended to a friend was boldly dishonest and could not care less that they left me without air conditioning for 2 days. As a result, I paid for repairs that I didn't need. Most likely all I needed was coolant. It's hard to find honest and reliable service these days but I think Aire Serv is one of those.
