Distressed and anxious upon finding a leak in my house, I called PreFix, who recommended 787 Construction for repairs. Wary about calling, as woman alone can be treated dismissively, I read about them online and found only great reviews. So, PreFix contacted them, and only ONE hour later, I got a call from Mariana at 787 Construction. Her friendly and caring attitude put me completely at ease, and she arranged for me to meet with Matthew in only two days’ time. He arrived punctually, with a friendly smile and such an aura of competence and professionalism, (which complemented what I’d felt talking to Mariana), that I knew immediately I’d made the right choice. As Matthew carefully examined the exterior and interior areas around the leak, I followed, asking questions, which he patiently and confidently answered. He was extremely knowledgeable about of every aspect of construction, even down to knowing the make and color of my roof shingles. He never hurried me and stayed until all my questions were answered. An estimate came 3 days later, and upon my approval, Mariana went to work fitting me into their schedule. When the work began, Matthew stayed in close communication with his crews. The roofing/siding crew came the first day, and worked diligently at tearing off & replacing damaged shingles & siding, installing new flashing, etc. Jax was also there, to consult and answer questions. When a problem arose, Jax, and Fidel discussed it and consulted with Matthew to arrive at a solution. The following day the interior work began. The crew equally skilled and resolute, removed and replaced damaged boards & sheetrock, and began the drywall repairs. They returned on a Saturday to texture & paint. On the final day the gutter crew arrived and they worked efficiently, replacing and repairing existing gutters. Working with Matthew and everyone at 787 Construction was incredible. They define the term “exceptional customer service” as they truly care about your satisfaction. They are super responsive, just a text or phone call away, when you have a question or problem. The crews are friendly, respectful, & skillful. Jax’s is easy to talk to, and readily answers questions and explains things in detail. Matthew, so considerate and friendly, has fantastic communication skills, and always addresses your concerns. He’s a consummate professional and the depth of his knowledge is astounding. From roofs & siding to floors & countertops he can answer all your questions. Mariana, who’s smile you can feel when you speak to her on the phone, is super helpful and always available to answer questions. The day before the roof was built, while I was at work, he came over to my house and rebuilt about 30% of my fence, including the back gate, and power washed and stained the whole thing—all in just a few hours. I mean, who does that?! It was such an unexpected and generous gesture, and it shows the kind of person Ali is. The whole crew worked seamlessly around him, with confidence and great energy. And, of course, I have to mention Ali’s famous watermelon breaks! It kept the team cool and happy during the work, and it was just one more example of Ali’s fun, friendly leadership style.
