Consultation -- From the beginning, it was easy to schedule a time for a Project Consultant to visit our home. Manny was excellent! He walked us through what to expect as far as preparation, protection, and cleanup. He took the time to answer all of my questions (and I tend to ask a lot) and provided a quote before he left.
Purchase / Booking / Scheduling -- Actually purchasing and booking was easy as well. We paid 50% up front and the rest after a thorough walk-through with our Project Manager. Scheduling was a little trickier, but we had two holidays to juggle, so we expected as much. While they were determining our project dates, the scheduling team had regular communication with us so that we stayed informed.
Painting -- I was and still am so impressed with their work. The day before, our Project Manager, Daniel, reached out and confirmed the start time of the crew. On the day of, we first did a walk-through of the entire project scope with Daniel to ensure that we were all on the same page. We ended up wanting to add the removal of a floating shelf and a wall patch to our project, and Daniel provided an updated estimate.
Once complete, Daniel discussed details with the crew lead while the team started to prep our space. They laid down project paper to protect the floors and then laid painting plastic as well (on furniture, fans/lights, and the floor too). They taped necessary areas and removed the outlet covers to ensure nice lines. They cleaned and sanded the walls to make sure the surface was ready for paint. (Far more than I would have done had I been doing the painting!)
Our project was all walls, ceilings and trim that were not in a bedroom or a bathroom and took three days. We had a team of three painters and they worked from 8/830 am until around 6 pm (although they said they could end earlier if we wanted -- we opted for longer days).
The crew was great! We work from home and hung out in one of the bedrooms to stay out of their way. They were so incredibly professional -- I just cannot say enough great things about them.
After each day, Daniel came by and asked if we had any notes about the progress so far. Honestly, it went so well there wasn't a lot to discuss, but I appreciated that we had a way to communicate in case something did come up.
I am so thankful that I hired a professional and found Phillips. From working with Manny to start and then Daniel taking over, the process was a breeze. The crew treated our home with the same care that they would treat their own. I highly recommend them for your future painting and home improvement needs...
