„Déjà Mazzani says: UNBELIEVABLY GREAT!
I hired COIT to come “clean” the air conditioning duct system of a manufactured home we recently moved into.
Every time I ran the ac, I’d get this horrible cough… So, I purchased an air purifier to test the air… each time I ran the AC, I noticed the air quality tanked (air purifier indicator lights turned red, indicating dangerously high pollutants), so I turned the system off and called an HVAC contractor to help.
Despite my suspicion that something was seriously wrong with our ac system, the HVAC contractor who inspected the unit and ducting system LAST WEEK said “there are no holes in the ducting that I can see, I’d refer you to COIT for a cleaning.”
I called Tuesday and COIT Technician “John B” was here Thursday at 10a to start. From the moment he walked in, he was an excellent communicator, professional, honest and forthright about the process and during His inspection, noticed several tale-tale signs that all was NOT well with our system. He was “willing to clean the system” for me, but acknowledged that because many of our ducts had “come loose from the boot”, a “proper seal couldn’t be achieved”, at best, he could only guarantee a “fair” cleaning. Despite this dismal news, we opted to have COIT clean the ducts anyway (it couldn’t hurt, right!) RIGHT!
It’s now 4:30pm… This man has worked all day to ensure he did the best possible cleaning he could, DESPITE our compromised system.
Four… (you read that correctly…) FOUR, 5 gallon buckets of debris came out of the ducting system today, not including a fifth 5 gallon bucket of only dust COIT’s machine HEPA filtered out during the process. I am disgusted!
We were BREATHING this stuff! (photos). Fiberglass particles along with who what knows else… COIT Technician John. B, found baby shoes, playing cards, animal droppings -small and large (so much for no holes in the ducting HVAC guy?!), kitchen utensils (spatulas, spoons, metal/plastic cookie cutters etc.), garbage, rodent nests…and a host of other random items… “it’s like the people who lived here before you, just swept everything into the vent holes,” he said.
I’m a strong woman y’all, but to be honest? At one point, I cried looking at all the filth that came out of the air my children and I were breathing.
It feels like saying “Thank you” is not enough. This 5 star review is not enough. I wish I had the money to pay COIT thousands of dollars for the work they did today. Because, when I tell you it would be worth every penny? I am NOT exaggerating!
I will never call anyone else but COIT for cleaning of -quite literally- anything! From the bottom of my heart, Thank you Mr. John B. You went above and beyond for our family. God Bless your soul...“ Show more
