Matthew Blinstrub says: „There is a reason this company is 5 stars, I wish I could rate them even higher.
My wife and I came home from a day trip a couple weeks ago to find our house almost flooding, the boiler system spewing water everywhere, carpets and bedrooms soaked, walls soaked, and it was close to midnight on a Saturday. We managed to turn the water off but some pipes were still leaking.
We just purchased our home in Canton within the past year and didn't have a plumber. We desperately called six+ different companies, all advertised to be emergency, 24/7 plumbing companies.
Several companies that we called had AI interfaces that answered and were of no help.
One plumber we managed to speak with said they had no idea what to do with a Bosch combination system and were too busy to bother with it.
Some of those companies didn't call back for several days, one even called back a week later to "check if we still needed help."
Ian from Miller's plumbing was the only actual human to answer us and assure us that no matter what, he would be there and stop the leaking and get us at least some running water, and then provide us with a full analysis and that is exactly what he did.
His calm demeanor along with his clear and concise communication instantly put us at ease.
He arrived on scene within 40 minutes despite being far away and the fact that it was now past midnight.
When he arrived, he got to work immediately, stopped the leaking, got our cold water up and running, and then he clearly communicated to both of us what he believed the issue was, and was surprisingly up front and honest about needing to additional research on a system he was a little unfamiliar with in order to properly fix the system for the long term and get us an accurate estimate and quick turn around time.
I found out later he spent hours on the phone with Bosch the next day to research the system and the suspected issues and the parts (he assured us this was covered by the initial emergency fee and we weren't getting billed).
He then sent us a thorough analysis (written also very clearly and made available as both a physical and digital copy) that clearly laid out costs, what was necessary to be done immediately, and what should be done to prevent further issues in the future.
The price and timeframe he gave me seemed almost too good to be true so I even had a 40+ year veteran plumber look over his analysis and our system and then I also tracked down the original company that installed the boiler system a few years ago and shared that information with them (they had moved far away and were not on our list of emergency plumbers). Both were so impressed with Ian's write up that they both told us to hire Miller's immediately so that's what we did.
Not only did Ian repair the system and save us from having to get a new one, but he worked and has continued to work with the contractors and restoration company to enhance the access to the system while keeping it safe and secure from my kiddo who likes to press buttons and knobs (this system has many fun looking buttons and colors on the control panel).
He also took the time to explain what every single lever and knob does in my utility area to both me and my wife (he smartly did not assume I was the boss and always tried to speak with both of us equally).
I'd be remiss if I didn't also mention how clean his work has been. He has left the utility area cleaner than when he has arrived every time he's been here (I liked his work so much I had him come back to do some optional enhancements work a few times the past couple weeks). The repiping he did to enhance the system for proper maintenance moving forward is incredibly clean looking and well done.
Having your new home flood, getting all your floors ripped up, walls cut out, etc, is very stressful. It's still ongoing but I can confidently say that Miller's plumbing has been the one golden egg of this fiasco and they now have a customer for life...“ Show more
