Angela, one of the co-owners, managed the project, ensuring that the work was progressing as it should and that my husband and I were satisfied. She was pleasant and offered advice on choices when asked. When I noticed that something was not the way I thought it should be, she took care of it right away. The construction team, Bill, Rob, Joe and Steven were good at what they did and pleasant polite people. In every case, the kitchen was cleaned up at the end of each day. RIHI are not the cheapest home improvement company around but they are among the best. I base this on the stories I have heard from others who have had remodels done using different companies. RIHI doesn't start the project until they have all the necessary materials. Most of the work is done by their own carpenters, plasterers, etc. They use very few outside companies.This gives RIHI control over the entire process. Regarding other home improvement companies, I have consistently heard complaints about the length of time a project takes, the quality of materials and/or work, the messy workmen, and the general slow response to situations that inevitably come up. I was happy to be using a family owned company and would use them again for any home improvement project. Most home improvement projects involve some upheaval for the customer. If any project of this nature can be called relatively painless, this one can. It was interesting and pleasant to see everything coming together. This company operates like a well oiled machine. I think the project management and work ethic is the key to their success. RIHI cares about what they do.
