The process from bidding to completion was very enjoyable with the outcome nothing short of amazing as you can see from the pictures. From the very beginning of the process, we could see that Ben and his company were much different that the response that we received from some local companies that we asked to bid. Not only did we want to have our dilapidated small deck replaced and upgraded, we also wanted a small area in the rear re-graded due to rain water runoff issues and removal of unsightly pavers to a concrete area. Ben did not blink an eye with these requests and even made suggestions during the project construction. Other companies either didn't want to do everything that we wanted, or did not include all items in their bid---one company ghosted us after visiting our home and looking at the tasks involved. But Ben and WilLine really stepped up and provided drawings of their proposal so that we could get a visual idea of what their finished product would look like. Our process started in the fall of 2023, and we were in no hurry to have this completed. We gave WilLine a late winter to early spring starting estimate and it fit perfectly into their schedule. WilLine started the porch near the end of February. WilLine's crew was professional and very dedicated. They were very careful not to disturb any area in our rear yard that was not necessary. They arrived promptly each workday and put in full days. The amount of work and progress each day was amazing. WilLine used quality materials and their efforts as a team could be compared to a well oiled machine. Ben would visit our site regularly, keeping us informed of the progress and what to expect next in our project. After the porch was completed, the picture was completed with new concrete (even a new tie-in sidewalk to our pool) and then landscaping that included Sod and new stone to spruce up our rear yard. The difference between the beginning look and the final look of our rear yard is amazing. The value of what WilLine did for us was much more than the price we paid. I would be proud to show off our new screened porch to anyone who is looking for a contractor for their own project. I will recommend WilLine Builders to anyone here in Delaware who asks about our porch. A little over a month ago we noticed after a rainstorm, that our laundry room ceiling had water spots and we called Excel and another company for a consultation to see if we should repair or replace our roof. Both companies recommended replacing our roof and we decided that even though Excel had a higher bid, we wanted to go with them for a number of reasons. First, Kevin, the owner of Excel returned our call within an hour of our leaving a message, and set up an estimate to be done the very next day, which was a Sunday. When Roger came to our house, he was friendly, polite, and professional. He spent close to an hour on the roof with my husband, inspecting and discussing what he was seeing and “feeling with his feet”. After the inspection, he told us he would be putting together an estimate and would meet with us the following Sunday to discuss it and answer any questions we may have. He also told us to call with any questions we may have before he came back, and when my husband called, he responded within a few hours of the message we left. When it came time for our estimate meeting, Roger was again prompt, friendly, and professional. He prepared a presentation that including showing us photographs from previous jobs the company had completed and discussed each and every step of the roofing process we needed, which included a weather and ice protection barrier that was necessary due to the lower pitch of our roof. Roger went over all the materials they would be using in detail, and we were pleased to see that the materials they use are of the highest quality. The day our roof work began, Roger was here by 7:30am, to receive the dumpster and material delivery. The crew doing the work was polite, professional, and efficient. Every care was taken to make sure our property was not damaged, and they cleaned up every piece of trash and material that was on the ground from the job. Also, Roger was here for every second of the time our roof was being worked on, to oversee the work. Finally, after the job was completed, Roger shared with us the photographs he had taken of our roof being done, from dumpster delivery to completion of the job. We were able to see step-by-step how our roof was done. We saw the damage that caused our ceiling to have water stains, the new decking pieces that replaced the damaged ones, the waterproofing, felt, and shingles, all being installed, just as Roger described in our estimate. We could not be happier with having chosen Excel Roofing & Siding to replace our roof. Our entire experience was worry free, professional, and friendly. They are worth every penny we paid!
