After significant research and interviews I moved forward with Impriano. This decision was based on multiple factors: 1. I worked directly with Jack Impriano who is a son of the owner. a. His knowledge of the industry, products, installation, etc. exceeded my expectations as he could answer all questions asked and even made me aware of the questions I should be asking! b. Direct email and phone access to Jack who was very responsive 2. No pressure sales and flexible with terms of contract 3. They do have multiple brick and mortar locations/sales centers if interested in visiting but not required. 4. Choosing a shingle color can be daunting but not with Impriano. Jack made some recommendations, shared pictures of installs and even offered addresses for the specific shingles were considering to go see in person! This was one of the most important activities we did. My wife and I picked our “top 3” colors and upon seeing our #1 in person quickly changed our mind! Seeing a couple hundred feet of a shingle color is priceless to make the final decision! 5. Jack is also very honest. He visited my fathers house and shared with him that he had a couple years left before it needed to be replaced vs. trying to just sell another roof! This creates loyalty and trust! 6. Best in class 50-year warranty! 7. Pricing was on par with competitors and better than most! This is not a price decision ultimately as you get what you pay for! After executing the contract, I can share that Jack and the Impriano team’s professionalism, responsiveness and engagement did not change which is so important. I had multiple activities including replacement/reinstall of solar panels, gutters, etc in which they were very flexible with. The installation was completed in less time then expected as their workers are not outsourced and true craftsman. Impriano leadership visited the site multiple times throughout the weekend and continued to answer any questions I had. After the team left, there was not a trace of remnant from the old roof or installation based on the thorough preparation and cleanup! Even the dumpster arrival/removal was timely and didn’t stay on property for an unnecessary amount of time! If there is one complaint, I do have… it’s the fact they do not offer other services besides windows, siding and roofing! They would be my go-to General Contractors if their services allowed such! A little over a month ago we noticed after a rainstorm, that our laundry room ceiling had water spots and we called Excel and another company for a consultation to see if we should repair or replace our roof. Both companies recommended replacing our roof and we decided that even though Excel had a higher bid, we wanted to go with them for a number of reasons. First, Kevin, the owner of Excel returned our call within an hour of our leaving a message, and set up an estimate to be done the very next day, which was a Sunday. When Roger came to our house, he was friendly, polite, and professional. He spent close to an hour on the roof with my husband, inspecting and discussing what he was seeing and “feeling with his feet”. After the inspection, he told us he would be putting together an estimate and would meet with us the following Sunday to discuss it and answer any questions we may have. He also told us to call with any questions we may have before he came back, and when my husband called, he responded within a few hours of the message we left. When it came time for our estimate meeting, Roger was again prompt, friendly, and professional. He prepared a presentation that including showing us photographs from previous jobs the company had completed and discussed each and every step of the roofing process we needed, which included a weather and ice protection barrier that was necessary due to the lower pitch of our roof. Roger went over all the materials they would be using in detail, and we were pleased to see that the materials they use are of the highest quality. The day our roof work began, Roger was here by 7:30am, to receive the dumpster and material delivery. The crew doing the work was polite, professional, and efficient. Every care was taken to make sure our property was not damaged, and they cleaned up every piece of trash and material that was on the ground from the job. Also, Roger was here for every second of the time our roof was being worked on, to oversee the work. Finally, after the job was completed, Roger shared with us the photographs he had taken of our roof being done, from dumpster delivery to completion of the job. We were able to see step-by-step how our roof was done. We saw the damage that caused our ceiling to have water stains, the new decking pieces that replaced the damaged ones, the waterproofing, felt, and shingles, all being installed, just as Roger described in our estimate. He also suggested stores for all of the items that we had to choose and purchase (tiles, tub, toilet, sink, faucets, etc.). However, stores were not set in stone, so we used the stores Martin recommended as well as other stores, which worked out just fine. Martin and his team performed the demolition and removal of the old bathroom, which had a lot of old tile all over the floors and walls. There was a pedestal sink where the new tub is and the old tile shower was where the new vanity is. The old door opened into the bathroom and hit the sink and the shower was too small/tight for most adults. Once demo was complete Martin had Mario perform all of the work, except for a small bit or boiler work which required a separate licensed professional. Mario was truly a wonderful individual. He was very kind and respectful of our home and was able to perform all of the work for our bathroom, from tiles, to electric, to painting, to plumbing, etc. Mario also had to cut out a new door for the space and move it to accommodate where the tub went. This posed different challenges along the way, as this is a small space, so plumbing vents and electric had to be taken into consideration when moving the door. A sliding door was installed to reduce intrusiveness, so yet another challenge, making sure the wall to the left had the space for the door along with space for the tub and shower plumbing. He was very knowledgeable in all of the areas and the end result really speaks to how skilled he is. Mario worked in our child's room and even to this day (~6 months later) our son still talks about him, because he really left a lasting impression on him. Once the job was completed, Martin came around and ensured everything was finished to our standards. I would 100% go with Martin's Home Improvement again for our home repair or remodeling needs. Not only because the job was finished extremely well and matched our vision, but because once the supplies were purchased (on us) the process moved pretty quickly, which we definitely appreciated as we had a new baby on the way.
