„Michele Duncan says: The task of finding a roofing company to replace our roof started two years ago. This roof is not what you’d call the average roof. The home is a historic Queen Anne gothic Victorian complete with turrets, several gables and lots of angles and high pitches. Not to mention the roof was two colors and I wanted to keep the new roof exactly like the old one! I had interviewed several contractors, three companies refused to touch the roof stating that it was above their ability and didn’t want the responsibility or have expertise it would take. Two companies were excited about the job but neglected to follow through with estimates or returning repeated attempts to contact them. The remaining companies wanted to charge such ridiculous prices that I’d have to have sold the house just to afford to pay for the new roof. One company wanted to tear out all the original box gutters and install new aluminum gutters. Although I didn’t want the least expensive estimate I wanted it to be affordable and it was most important that the company was honest and confident that they could take on this job! I had given up hope in finding such a company (by now the roof is leaking into the attic!) when by chance my niece had mentioned the company she had recently worked with. Roofsmith! She gave me the number for Nick Mileti, an associate of Roofsmith. I left him a text and within an hour he called and we set up a time for him to come inspect. Nick was a godsend from that day on! While he was confident that the company could do the job he made sure to meet with everyone at the company before giving me any false hopes. He contacted me to tell me that they were confident and excited about doing the project. By this time it was too late in the season to start the work but made sure the company sent a team out to seal the leak to protect the home over the winter and that the house was on the schedule for early spring. Nick was always available to answer any questions or concerns and even spoke to the business next door that abuts my property to keep them updated so they could cordon off the parking lot when work began! He assured the owner that a project manager would be on the property to supervise the job and that the clean up after the job would be thorough. This was a huge stressor for me and Nick dealt with it all! I was contacted over the winter periodically by Nicole in the office to keep me informed as the day of installation approached. On the day of the installation the crew came at 7 a.m. and worked until 8 p.m. that night and the next day they came at 8 a.m. and finished the job by 3. And just like every single representative of Roofsmith, this crew was hardworking, professional and dedicated to this job! I know this review is lengthy but just a few words could not describe how incredibly grateful we are to Roofsmith! After dealing with so many companies and their lack of professionalism and dedication it was Roofsmith that took the stress and worry from us! Every single employee from beginning to end contributed to the restoration of this historic home so that it will continue to stand another 140 years! As you can see in the before pictures, our roof was incredibly old in a deplorable state. When it rained really hard, water would seep through. We just didn't have enough financially to afford another roof...it was SO STRESSFUL!!! HGE left a post-it note on our city trash can with affordable roofing promotions, we researched them online and found so many happy customers, and a neighbor raved about them as well. We gave HGE a call and the phone customer service was awesome, supportive, and understanding of our situation. HGE sent someone out to our home within 24 hours. Our sales representative, Adam, was kind, informative, and no BS. He saw that we needed a new roof, he wanted to help us get a new roof, and he sat with us to help us figure out an affordable option for our family with no judgement, and no uncomfortable nor unnecessary sales pressure that we've so frequently got before from door-to-door sales people. Once the project was contracted, Adam stayed in touch with us until the project supervisor, Keith, got in touch (within 2 days) to explain the next steps of the project. The dumpster service was good too! The driver arrived with our dumpster to coordinate where to leave it, and picked it up promptly after the project as well. Keith and the roofing team were awesome! They were 100% respectful on our premises, efficiently completed the roof (midnight plum color) within 12 hours, and thoroughly cleaned our yard afterwards. And it was a M'F'ing hot day!!! Keith called to schedule the new gutters, days later they were installed, but the wrong color! Whoops! But no problem at all! I called and informed Keith of the mistake, and he handled the issue professionally, a couple days later the incorrect color of gutters (white) were removed and the correct color gutters (black) were replaced within 2 hours. Our home looks gorgeous, modern, and best of all....it feels SAFE now!!! We love the ventilation now so our hot, stuffy attic can breathe. We love rain, and it was sad that rain stressed us out so much before....but no longer! It can rain as much as it wants and we can enjoy it now, knowing that our home is safe and more efficient now. If you're considering going with HGE, go for it! We had a fantastic experience with them and with every one of their employees from start to finish. Even with a mistake, it was handled swiftly and with professionalism. We highly recommend! If you struggle financially as well, they can help you find options that will work for you!
