I knew we would have to replace our roof in the near future as it was getting older and showing signs of wear. As I snapped a photo of their contact info, a voice from up above (the roof of the house we were in front of) shouted down, "Ask for Adam McNamara!" I put Adam's name and contact info in my phone and then forgot about it. However, after some strong winds just a few months later, we had damage to our fence, roof, and a gutter. I had asked some friends who recently had roof repairs completed who they used and would they recommend them. All said a company and that they would NOT recommend them, in fact, stay away from them. Then I remembered the note in my phone. Before calling Adam, we checked the reviews and were pleasantly surprised they were all 5-star. So we called. Adam answered right away and was extremely responsive. Neither of us had ever submitted an insurance claim and were unsure how to proceed, especially since there were multiple kinds of repairs. Adam quickly stepped in and helped us navigate the entire process, sitting with me while we called the insurance company. Big Bear even has their own former insurance claim adjuster on staff to be there when the insurance adjuster comes to ensure that nothing is missed. Adam is available and responsive via phone, text and email. When a meeting or the repairs are scheduled, everyone shows up as planned (there was one sub-contractor for the fence who didn't show up and Adam made sure it was taken care of even though being on vacation). The roof was completed on one day. Big Bear acted as our general contractor on all the repairs even the ones that were not roof-related. Adam personally got up on the roof to ensure the repairs were completed fully. HE had the painters repaint our garage ceiling when he didn't think it was up to par. All repairs were done within the parameters of the insurance claim even including an upgrade to an architectural shingle from our original 3-tab shingles, at no extra cost to us (just our deductible). It started with a phone call to the company which resulted in an email assigning my project advisor, Jason Lambert, who was punctual, cordial, knowledgeable and professional. On his first visit, he inspected the roof and provided information about their roofing services, warranty and my options to fix a small leak. He left promising to return with costs for the repair or complete roof replacement for me. I reached out a week later asking if he could also price a metal shingle option and soon after, received a call from the office asking to schedule a second visit. Jason came a second time and provided all the pricing details and went over the warranty options again. He was professional and patient, as I had a few questions about the types of warranty and was still undecided about the color. After agreeing and signing the contract to begin work, the office sent another email assigning my project manager, BJ Murphy. He contacted me and arranged for his crew to begin work the following week. The day before work was to begin, all roofing material was delivered and placed very neatly on my driveway. The roofing crew arrived early the next day with a dump truck. It was very carefully backed up to my garage, wheels safely chocked and the extra pieces of OSB placed against the garage door to protect it. The crew worked tirelessly the entire day and finished the job. They were very thorough with the cleanup as well, swept the area for nails, picked up all waste material and wrappers, swept and blew out my landscaping and driveway. My house and surrounding areas were immaculate when they left. I am extremely impressed with this attention to detail. I would highly recommend Skywalker Roofing Company to anyone who needs roofing work done. They are great to work with, honest and professional.
