Rebecca P says: „My AC unit stopped working during a hot spell near the end of September. I am a Do-It-Yourselfer so I did some research and replaced a couple of parts, but still no luck. I called K&M late Tuesday afternoon and spoke with Jeff. I explained my situation and what I had replaced. I asked A LOT of questions. Jeff took the time to answer my questions and troubleshoot some possible issues. He talked with me, not at or over me (a rarity in my experience).
I decided that I had done all that I was comfortable doing, so Jeff sent a technician out the next morning. Jim arrived when scheduled and got straight to work. He ran some diagnostics and explained to me that the compressor had seized up. I talked with Jeff later that day, and we discussed my options. Again, Jeff answered several of my questions. Due to the unit being over 25 years old and the cost of replacing the compressor, it made the most sense to purchase a new AC unit. With an upcoming garage project next spring/summer which will require the unit to be relocated, Jeff explained and advised waiting to get a new unit until we know precisely where we will be placing it. No sales pitch, no pressure, just straight honesty. He even waived the service call fee as there was nothing to repair!
Over the course of the whole experience, I spoke with three different guys. Each one of them took the time to talk with me and answer all my questions.
