My realtor was is also a longtime friend of mine recommended them and everyone he knows always seems to be top. First there was the roof. Absolutely nailed that. All the rotten boards and trims as well. Not just materially good but one of the best sales professionals I've ever worked with. No pressure, honest and really knows what they are doing. Lots of options, and definitely some of the better prices and value in the area. Some places that came out or did quotes were absolute clown shows. Not Brax. As a matter of fact, Chris did a free estimate on my old roof before I even bought the house. This helped me at settlement big time and he was right on the dime about how long the roof would last. Less than 2 years later the old roof leaked and they replaced the roof with DaVinci because our HOA requires cedar. It is beautiful. Crew was fast, and very clean considering the scale of this endeavor. They had one specialist who runs the trucks and would come by just to collect the scrap and leftover new material. He name was Alexis and I enjoyed talking with he and he stayed and happily translated a lot of Spanish for me with the workers about little things. I was so impressed I had them do all of the siding. Again, more options and excellent setup. Job was even harder than the roof. This is a BIG house and the crew strained hard in the heat but they did a magnificent job and fixed a lot of issues along the way without nickeling and diming everything. Their foreman was superb even as he struggled to keep the numerous talents they needed staffed each day. They did the windows too and fixed anything that I asked for corrections to. I am very precise when I do my own fixes and they had no problem with it. All new gutters and they are flawless. It's like a whole new house and it has been rained on for a few months. I've had no problems. Neighbors comment all the time about how amazing it looks now. I would totally recommend Brax to them and I have many times. Most recently we had them replace our old cedar shingle siding with new fiber cement siding. Our old painted cedar siding had always given our house a distinctive and appealing look but the wood siding has always required significant amounts of maintenance over our years of ownership including regular repainting and often the replacement of whole sections of shingles. Still, we were reluctant to replace it with traditional plank siding and lose the unique look of the house. However after meeting with Zak ,Kreisman, the owner of Alco Products and our primary contact, we were convinced that the Hardie fiber cement straight edge shingle siding product they offered would allow us to replace our cedar siding with a low maintenance, durable siding alternative that would allow our house to retain the distinct look it has always had. We were also confident, based on our prior work with Alco Products and on learning that they had much experience installing Hardie cement fiber products, that the job would be done right and to our satisfaction and we were not disappointed. While we have always been impressed by the work done for us by Alco Products and the way in which they stand behind their work, in some cases returning, even months later to address small issues we may have encountered with a product they provided, we were more than impressed with this last job they performed when they were able to take on the residing project in the middle of December and promise the work would be completed before we were to leave for a two week holiday vacation. By doing this it allowed us to take advantage of an end of years special they were offering which meant a big savings for us. They came out to start the project, immediately assessed the full scope of the work and within a day assembled the team they would need to ensure the work would be done before our departure date. The large crew there to do the work was professional and courteous, worked long days and finished the work on time as promised doing a stellar job all around leaving us to end the year and start 2024 with a house that retained its charm, now without the onerous maintenance burden it had previously required. As mentioned, we have come to Alco for a number of our home renovation projects. We’ve had them install all new windows for us, including two stunning bay windows that dramatically improved the look of our living room and kitchen. We also turned to them when we wanted to replace all of our doors and storm doors. As with the previous work they’ve done or us we were again totally satisfied by their work to replace our siding and wouldn’t hesitate to consider them again for future work...“ Show more
