Communication is excellent! 4. CLEAN! They prepare your home, place plastic and wrap/move furniture to minimize dust and prevent damage. Plus they clean the worksite daily. 5. That was one job I hated because of the pressure and stress I’ve experienced in the past when needing major work done around the house. But, with this company THERE WAS NO PRESSURE!!! Emmanuel was the young man who came to my door, explained who he was, and who he worked for, and was very respectful of my time. I told him I was interested to see what they had to offer. Then came Ralph. Ralph was very pleasant, easygoing, and fun. He was informative, and knowledgeable, listened, and worked with us. We felt very comfortable around him. Have you ever agreed to a contract, but after they’d leave, you would start regretting it, and wonder if you did the right thing? You’d toss and turn throughout the night debating if you should cancel or keep it? That night, I slept like a baby. We were shown what materials would be used, how they worked, and what would be good, better, and best, for my dwelling. The pricing was what I expected, and I had a range of choices to choose from. What I didn’t expect was to be able to get a better deal that was within my price range. As the hubby and I discussed the options, prices, and financial positions, not once were we pressured or interrupted to make a decision. It was my hubby who, after careful discussion, brainstorming, viewing, and reviewing, said let’s go with the best. Then came the day for installation… I had a double layer of shingles that needed to be removed. After removal, it was found, I needed some wood replaced. AJ was the supervisor, and he kept us informed throughout the process. As the project progressed, he sent us pictures so we could see it for ourselves, or the reason for replacement, whatever the situation, we were informed. Everything went smoothly. Everyone was very polite, and the crew worked efficiently, just like a team should. I have to say, that group of men worked very well together. Also, after the roof was done, the crew did their diligence to make sure everything was cleaned up. After the cleanup, AJ sat with us to close out everything and to make sure we were pleased with the job that was done. I highly recommend this company. Not once were we pressured into anything we didn’t want. We were informed throughout the project of how things were going. The whole crew was polite and respectful. Most recently we had them replace our old cedar shingle siding with new fiber cement siding. Our old painted cedar siding had always given our house a distinctive and appealing look but the wood siding has always required significant amounts of maintenance over our years of ownership including regular repainting and often the replacement of whole sections of shingles. Still, we were reluctant to replace it with traditional plank siding and lose the unique look of the house. However after meeting with Zak ,Kreisman, the owner of Alco Products and our primary contact, we were convinced that the Hardie fiber cement straight edge shingle siding product they offered would allow us to replace our cedar siding with a low maintenance, durable siding alternative that would allow our house to retain the distinct look it has always had. We were also confident, based on our prior work with Alco Products and on learning that they had much experience installing Hardie cement fiber products, that the job would be done right and to our satisfaction and we were not disappointed. While we have always been impressed by the work done for us by Alco Products and the way in which they stand behind their work, in some cases returning, even months later to address small issues we may have encountered with a product they provided, we were more than impressed with this last job they performed when they were able to take on the residing project in the middle of December and promise the work would be completed before we were to leave for a two week holiday vacation. By doing this it allowed us to take advantage of an end of years special they were offering which meant a big savings for us. They came out to start the project, immediately assessed the full scope of the work and within a day assembled the team they would need to ensure the work would be done before our departure date. The large crew there to do the work was professional and courteous, worked long days and finished the work on time as promised doing a stellar job all around leaving us to end the year and start 2024 with a house that retained its charm, now without the onerous maintenance burden it had previously required. As mentioned, we have come to Alco for a number of our home renovation projects. We’ve had them install all new windows for us, including two stunning bay windows that dramatically improved the look of our living room and kitchen. We also turned to them when we wanted to replace all of our doors and storm doors. As with the previous work they’ve done or us we were again totally satisfied by their work to replace our siding and wouldn’t hesitate to consider them again for future work...“ Show more

I purchased my home 5 years ago and later discovered severe damage with weathering to my roof, effecting some main living spaces. I contacted Long home their team were very responsive and respectful. They allowed me to book as early as possible for an assessment. When the assessor came to my home Mr. William Flores, introduced himself, showed his cards and identification, explained briefly what happens next and proceeded to his vehicle to grab his equipment and began the process. When he returned inside the home I asked that he place shoe covers on to protect my small children and he agreed. We sat in my formal dining area and he pulled out his tablet presenting the photos he had taken of the roof and also of the ones inside that I had allowed him to take. He compared the materials, explaining everything in great detail. Mean while my son and daughter were amused at our guest and came to greet him and he spoke and played with them. Which was very good “bedside manners” he never lost focus on his task. He jumped right in and explained more product, comparable to the square footage of the roof and adjoining porch. He explained labor warranty and product warranty and the pro-rated clause of the warranty. He was very understanding of my inexperience with regards to roofing material and its many processes and didn’t have a problem with over-explaining the process to me. He conducted a survey very intentional and personal about what my goals were and he proved how the company has grown since 1945, and still leading in technology, development and innovation. He really stressed the importance of customer satisfaction and how involved the customer is allowed to be during the process. His people skills and knowledge of the company was stellar. I really appreciate and admire his dedication and commitment to take time out of his evening to meet me after I got off from work on this rainy August 2024, evening.
