Communication was also top notch which is hard to find these days; he would always answer texts, calls and emails promptly and made sure all questions were answered thoroughly. Upon signing the contract Rocky and crew showed up on time every day and worked rigorously until the evening. They were fast, but also meticulous, and made sure not to leave any messes before they left for the day. They always had a smile on their faces whenever we came out to chat and took the time to have conversations with us regarding the project. Halfway through the project we took an out of country trip, however, the crew remained working just as diligently in order to get the deck done for us. Nate made sure to stay in touch while we were away regarding the team's progress and made sure we had nothing to worry about. After a short two and a half weeks (there were a few days they could not come by due to inclement weather) they were finished! The end product was beyond our expectations--they did an absolutely amazing job and made sure everything was cleah, cohesive and most importantly safe for us and our family. The inspector came by upon completion and gave us a thumbs up; he told us the contractors did a great job with the building of the deck. It has been a couple weeks that we've been able to use the deck with the remaining decent weather we will be getting for the remainder of the year and it has been very enjoyable thanks to Can Roof Construction. Thanks to them we can enjoy a cup of coffee wrapped in sweaters and blankets on our adirondack chairs before work, we can have big family dinners for special occasions as the sun sets, and we now have a place for our dogs to run around freely without worrying about them getting into mischief. I highly recommend going with this company if you are looking to have a deck built for your home; I'm glad I did and you will be too! Here’s what they did in March 2023: - Installed 83 linear ft of new gutters - Installed 83 linear ft of gutter guards - Installed 6 new downspouts - Installed 24 linear ft of new PVC fascia Here’s why I like them: - They are on-time: Anytime Kiril said they would be at my house they were, and at the time they said they’d be there. - They work quickly but with care: They finished the entire job in probably 8 hours total across 2 days. The only delay was because they had to go to the hardware store to buy the fascia which we didn’t know was needed until the old gutters had been removed. - They are great communicators: They did a great job communicating before the project. Before I committed to using them they told me exactly what work would be done, when, and the cost. They did a great job communicating during the job. If they had any questions about where I wanted something installed or if they needed to show me how or why they planned to install something in a certain way they would let me know before the work began. And they did a great job communicating after the work was done. We walked the property and reviewed all the work to ensure I was happy with everything. And I was. - They are detail oriented: You can tell they take pride in their work and want to make things look as good as possible. And they succeed. - They use quality products: At my old house I had hired a different company to install gutter guards and that company used flimsy low-quality plastic guards and did a poor job installing them, to the point birds started nesting in the gutters! Kiril and Home Vision used high-quality metal gutters, downspouts and guards and did a great job installing them. I know everything will last for many many years. - They are clean: They made sure none of the debris or old gutter systems were left behind. - They are affordable: I’ll be honest, I didn’t do a lot of shopping around to compare prices but I know that given the amount of work they did and the quality of the work I got a great price. - They go above and beyond, even when it isn’t related to the installation: For example, I noticed that their truck had blocked my trash bin but they moved the bin to ensure it would be picked up by the garbage truck! We selected Northeast Industrial Roof for a persistent leak in our flat rubber roof section for our property in Somerville. This was addressed as a repair by other contractors and unfortunately the leak persisted. The section that was repaired is from an addition completed in 2009. The original contractor for some reason had the roof section pitched back towards the house. While searching for estimates some contractors that came out seemed to just want to put a new layer of rubber roof and not address the pitch issue. Others wanted to strip the roof down and add on costly framing to address the issue. The initial contact was handled by Naib who was super professional and was full of knowledge of how to address our problem. We were speaking and emailing about the job and without initially seeing the project in person or me explaining much, he identified the root of the problem by the photos. He confirmed this in person and gave the most cost-effective solution. He explained the different options of materials and methods to repair. Ultimately, we went with TPO roof membrane and had the roof built to the correct pitch using polyisocyanurate insulation and filler insulation to divert the rain. The job was completed with PVC fascia trim and 5” gutters. The gutters were correctly installed and look great transitioned around a lower fascia trim and new vinyl siding. Naib even reduced the price of the project considerably by being honest and not going all the way to the peak with the TPO, indicating it was overkill. The cleanup effort was the finishing touch with the crew being respectful of a yard full of children’s play structures, and left us with a clean deck and driveway. Dealing with this company was seamless. We went with them due to their great reviews and they lived up to them. Everyone was professional and courteous: Naib our salesperson, Bruna our project supervisor, Hannah from the office, and of course the great team of installers. Our condo association recently hired Ranch Roofing for a significant project re-roofing our Victorian-era Jamaica Plain condo building. Their professionalism, collaboration from the first pre-sale discussion through the project, and attention to detail made a complex job run smoothly. What made the job complex wasn't replacing the previous rubber roof installed over the original tar and gravel roof built in 1892; that was difficult enough. The challenge was that the roof replacement needed to happen underneath two roof decks that would need to be removed and rebuilt to allow for the roof resurfacing. When we started searching for roofing contractors, we heard repeatedly that the roofing company would be happy to replace our roof if we removed the decks, essentially leaving the condo association as general contractors. By contrast, Ranch's reaction was the exact opposite. They told us they would only bid on the contract if they were responsible for removing and rebuilding the roof deck, given the potential for a third party to damage the roof after installation. When we dug into the details with Don, their lead salesperson and initial project lead, we also discovered that the decks would need re-engineering to comply with the current building code that no longer allowed for "floating decks." After sourcing an engineering firm to help with design, we connected them with Ranch and engaged them in the project. Together they submitted the necessary permit requests to the City to begin the project. After getting through last winter with our aging roof, we started the project in earnest this spring. Ranch's on-site crew was timely, organized, and highly professional at each stage of the construction process. They were more than willing to take the time to answer questions and were able to come up with on-the-spot solutions to every unforeseen challenge, ensuring that our roof project was a success. Rolling with the changes was especially important in rebuilding our roof decks because of the complex nature of tying the new decks into the existing building framing and because we opted to upgrade the construction materials to higher quality options during the project. Their carpentry lead, Dave, communicated every challenge he faced with the framing to ensure we understood the issues. He was adamant about not cutting corners to ensure the decks were secure. He also was very candid about the various options we discussed on the upgraded materials, allowing us to make the financial decisions we needed with our condo association. His input and quality construction produced a beautiful result (see pictures) that we couldn't be happier with. I chose them in 2019 for a roof replacement and was happy with the process and results. And then I contacted them again for recent storm damage repair. I will definitely consider them for future work on my second home. Please read on if you want to know more! For the 2019 roof replacement, I got 3 quotes. The cheapest quote was from a company that advertises a lot on the radio. The highest quote was from a reputable company that wanted to place a port-a-john on the property. Eagle's quote was in the middle. I like high quality stuff, but I am on a tight budget. Everone was selling CertainTeed shingles, so I called CertainTeed's corporate office to check on the fabulous warranty being offered by the lowest quoting company. In the process, I found out the lowest quoting salesman offered a 5 star warranty on a 4 star shingle. CertainTeed would not backup the limited lifetime/50 year warranty the local contractor claimed as a chief selling point. I took a strong pass on them. After thinking about the highest quote, I realized it had too many extras, like a secondary ridge vent. What I realized was that the middle priced quote from Stephen O'Keefe was honest, straightforward, and didn't come with a high-pressure sales pitch. The proposal was for a normally priced roof replacement from a regular guy that wanted to provide a serivice to a customer. It had just what I needed. I liked that a lot. When planning the job, Stephen took into account special requests I made. For example, I was worried about trucks causing walkway damage so he brought a smaller trailer to haul away the shingles. My neighbor's contractor had already damaged my property so this was important to me. Also, Stephen checked out the vent area after the first rain at my request. He reinforced it for good measure too. He clearly takes pride in his work. It's a bonus that he sends pictures of his roofing work! After 5 years, and of course a pandemic, the roof was going strong. Then after 2 back-to-back storms my daughter-in-law saw a water stain on the kitchen ceiling. I texted Stephen O'Keefe on a Saturday morning and he got back to me right away. A branch had damaged the roof and he repaired it within hours. I am going to add on another layer here just to show how much trust matters to a consumer, especially to me as a woman consumer. I had a water heater problem last summer with the runaround from 5 plumbers until the final job was done. Then I bought a gas stove. The wellknown appliance retailer subbed out the install for $300. When writing the gas fitter a check, he told me he liked me so much that he would drop the cost to $300 (the previously contracted price, gee thanks!). And when I had a flat tire, my husband sent me to my auto dealership for a plug. They refused to plug it saying it is illegal. This may be true, but I send in my husband with the same tire, and bingo, tire plugged! I could give you tons of other examples, but life is too short. If you've read this far, you now know why trust is important to me as a consumer. I never felt like I got the runaround from Eagle Build and Remodel and would use them again...“ Show more
