Let me tell you, Manny and his crew are EXACTLY how all these awesome reviews of him and his company truly are! A roof is one of the most expensive and stressful things to have done on your home and it MUST be done right. I am the type of person who HAS to have the trust in the workmanship of the company that is being hired. From the start, when contacting Shine thru email, I had an immediate response that someone would get in touch with me shortly. Within a couple of hours I had a call from their office personnel scheduling a time that was good for ME, which was a Saturday appt. 5 star.... for even calling the same day. The day comes that Manny would be coming out for the estimate, he calls 15 min before time scheduled letting me know he's on his way. 5 star.... for the courtesy call and not having to think "I hope they show up". He shows up, meets with my husband outside who wanted to discuss the history/issues of our roof and chimney area we've had for years (not the typical N.E. roofline) and they went over all of it, (along with we were looking to have all new gutters installed) and after Manny went up on the roof and also looked in the attic area he knew EXACTLY, in a matter of fact manner, what needed to be done to get this roof like brand new. My husband (who has the knowledge of roofing procedures, materials used etc) came into the house, as Manny remained outside to measure for materials etc, and said "this guy knows what he's doing and is going to do exactly what I also believe this roof needs to be like brand new". 5 star... Let me just say, I then had FULL CONFIDENCE that Manny and his crew were the company for us! He came in after measuring (and let me say, Manny is the nicest, most professional and non-intimidating contractor I've dealt with, since I tend to ask lots of questions so that I fully understand the process and he answered all my questions, very patient, not rushing or pressuring us into anything), with samples of roofing and a full packet of literature of the materials, warranties, his Certificate of Insurance etc (5 star....didn't even have to ask) and within that 1.5 hour visit, we had the full estimate and signed contract before he even walked out the door. No waiting for an estimate in the mail, etc - he said once permit was secured with the town (with a miniscule deposit of only $400) they would schedule and within 1 week, I had brand new roof and gutters!! He called me day before, said we will be there to start next day at 7:00 (they were prompt arrival 6:45) and by 7 sharp they were already scraping off old shingles! 5 star......My husband had a feeling there was a very good chance of needing to replace plywood, and once they started, they came to that same conclusion, but Manny said no worries, once we gave ok his guys retrieved 69 pieces of plywood so fast, there was NO delay of anything! 5 star....What was GREAT was they text pics of everything they are doing, when putting ice shield on entire house, you see pics of it, when repairing chimney area, you see pics of it, when venting the house properly you see pics of it, it was awesome to see, nothing had to be questioned if it was done or not...5 star....His crew worked non-stop, except for a short lunch break, and ALL was done in that one day (by 6:30 p.m.) even though they planned for 2 days to be sure. That includes cleanup all around the yard etc. The crew was phenomenal. When they were done, all I could say was "Wow, I am really impressed" and you will be too if Shine does your roof! Eric L says: „We are very satisfied with the roofing project done by TrueHome and we are very impressed by the team of John and Hailey. We had been eyeing to replace our roof for a few years. It had no leak and was in a good shape, but it had been well more than 20 years and we did not want to get caught in a leak and then try to find a roofer in a hurry, but we went through the bad stretch of covid-19 and then the hyper-inflation, it was never a good time to do the job. Finally, this year we felt we had to get it done. Since we had been considering of reroofing for a while, we had a lot of time to research for good roofers. It is a big project, and even though it is not necessarily once a lifetime, but for how long we typically stay at one location, it is almost like so. Therefore, we were determined to find a reputable roofer and not to sacrifice the quality of the job even though we were looking for competitive price. We asked our neighbors, our colleagues, local Facebook/nextdoor for good references, but we didn't stop there. we also looked a bit beyond our "local" region, so in the end, we collected a group of very reputable roofers. Then when it came to the good roofing season of this year, for more than a few weeks, we called many of them to give us quotes, so we were fortunate to get a good amount of quality quotes from quite some very good roofers and in the end, we had a solid idea how the market price for reroofing was going. Among them, John gave us a very competitive price from the very beginning. Towards the end we still had a few very good offers competing one another. They are all from very reputable roofers, but we chose John. Quoting process was like an interview. They were all good in one way or another, but John checked all the boxes. Above all we felt John is genuine and true. From the get-go, the feeling that we had on John was that he was not necessarily a roofer trying to sell his job. Yes, we did sense that he wanted to get the job but more than that he was more like a helpful neighbor or friend who happens to be in the roofing business and knows nuts and bolts of it and gives his neighbors and friends helpful advice. We talked to many roofers, and they gave us a lot of information, similar and different too. At the end of the process, we pretty much had a very precise idea of the condition of our roof and carpentry around it and what John told us is the closest to it. Also, adding the fact that John came out with a very competitive price in the beginning made us feel that he is very trustworthy. Hailey then scheduled the roofing job and oversaw the process. Throughout the process, we felt very comfortable to communicate with Hailey. We were also doing the exterior painting and John and Hailey gave us advice how to move forward with the two jobs and fit roofing into it. Hailey was very patient with us even through doing two projects at the same time made it more complicated to do scheduling and we had many questions to ask due to it. On the roofing day, it was very hot and humid, Hailey was outside overseeing the job amid the high heat. The crew worked very hard amid the smothering weather. They came to our house very early in the morning, did the job no stopping, cleaned up very thoroughly and left us a beautiful roof with good workmanship.
