„Shellie M says: Our house was hit by a tornado in April 2024 which required us to replace the roof, siding, and gutters among other things. Let me tell you, dealing with insurance is miserable, and became a part-time job for me. On top of that we still had to find a trustworthy company to complete the work. After the tornado our neighborhood was crawling with roofing and restoration companies offering their services. To their credit, they did arrive with trucks full of workers and trailers full of tarps that were used to secure and protect damaged homes, at no cost. We received a stack of business cards that night, so we called a few to get quotes. None of the companies gave us the “warm and fuzzys,” and most made us feel like we were going to be taken advantage of which was even more frustrating. One night I remembered that my family members old neighbor owned a roofing company, Leave it to Beaver Roofing. From the first conversation I had with Dallas, I knew he operated his business completely different that other companies. The day he came out to look at our property he called to check-in and let me know he was on track to be at our house at the scheduled time. During his visit he thoroughly explain the scope of work that he was quoting as well as the extra steps he takes to provide his customers with a superior quality product. His willingness to talk through everything made me feel confident in his ability to get the job done right. Dallas emailed us his quote within hours of being at our house (to this day, we have not received quotes from 2 of the companies that came out within days of the tornado). The quote included optional upgrades with pricing, giving up options. We were not ready to sign a contract to begin repairs because we were still going back and forth with our insurance company, which dragged out for 6 weeks. During this time Dallas was great! He continued to answer our questions, dropped off samples and provided pictures/addresses of his jobs so we could see different colors and styles in person. He never pressured us into committing before we were ready. Once we gave Dallas the go-ahead things moved quickly. He let us know ahead of time what to expect on the day they replaced our roof. I was particularly impressed with their commitment to protecting my property during the installation process. They meticulously tarped the perimeter of my property to prevent any damage and conducted a thorough clean-up once the job was completed. Dallas was onsite throughout the day and provided regular updates of their progress with pictures. Ultimately the respect they have for their customers truly set them apart from other roofing companies. They framed in the old concrete walls in my basement, ripped up 50 year old carpet and installed LVP throughout, gave me a GORGEOUS custom bathroom, and made my basement BEAUTIFUL. They did quick work, with high quality, and were professional, mindful, and kind throughout. Seriously, the bathroom used to be a showerhead with a concrete floor, and the toilet was a literal hole in the floor where former owners had demoed but not actually started the renovation. It was completely unusable space. The main room in the basement had been concrete block walls and 50-year-old carpet with a door framed into place instead of a wall, between the room and the garage. It was dim, dirty, and I would actively avoid spending time in my basement and pretended the space just didn't exist, most of the time. After the work from A&S, we moved our master bedroom downstairs and I am SO happy that we did, because I am happy every time I wake up and get to be in a large room with a beautiful, functional bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, they worked with me on design and were able to put in two shower heads with a diverter, so I can wash my large dogs in the shower more easily, since one is getting older and struggling a little with mobility and the other hates the tub upstairs. I really appreciate A&S's flexibility and willingness to work with me on making my vision come to life. Aside from just A&S's work quality, their people were amazing, and I'd love to specifically call out the Project Manager, Carly. She was incredible at communicating with me on terms I could understand as someone not in the industry, and she was phenomenal at giving timely, appropriate updates, and working with me through my schedule. Their partners in plumbing and electrical were wonderful and kind as well, and the plumber regularly came out with a lower price than initially estimated, which is always a pleasant surprise.
