I had a 21 year HVAC system, while the Furnace was still good the AC unit was on its last leg. I contacted 5 companies in total and had each come out to inspect my equipment and floor plan then quote me what they felt was the best solution. Request For Quote – Justin Brannon I chose to go with Comfort services for a few reasons. The largest reason I chose to use them was I felt that when the rep (Justin Brannon) came to my house and reviewed my equipment, he quoted me a solution that was specific to my needs. He assessed the floor plan, current size of the system, ventilation size and even asked some questions regarding my wants and intentions. Three of the other vendors supplied me with what I felt were “cookie cutter” solutions and the fourth was simply far more expensive and the same equipment quoted by another plus a dehumidifier. The other reason that drew me to Comfort Services was that the solution suggested. Ultimately I landed on an inverter system which I felt struck the balance between energy efficiency and forecasted utilization for the house. Installation - James Majewski / Mike Krohn Installation day came and the crew showed up on time and organized, something I personally value. James worked on removing the old single stage AC unit and installed the inverter while Mike worked to remove the old furnace and install the new one. Both did an excellent job, a large consideration when getting HVAC work done is installation. You can buy the best of the best, but if installed poorly the system wont last; I was pleased with the overall quality and workmanship that was displayed. It was a long day, but I never felt that either technician was in a hurry to complete the job but rather took their time to try and get it right, which again I appreciated. All in all I was pleased with my experience. One mention for anyone considering an inverter system, I have noticed a high frequency noise comes off the outdoor unit when running AC and when the call for cooling stops, the noise transitions into the furnace room and is more noticeable. At this pitch while I can hear it, my wife and another technician cannot. If the unit were not closed off and the noise was allowed to reverberate due to furnace location within the home I could see this create annoyance for those able to hear it. Time will ultimately tell the longevity of the equipment and installation. I plan to update the review further based on service performance should I need them to return, but I am hoping that based on what I have seen so far that need will be minimal if at all. THIS TIME, I had upstairs 2nd floor bathroom leaking to first floor. Issac and George came out to swap new toilets and redo the seals for both first and second floor who I called to avoid it done wrong. Isaac who is a master plumber was skilled enough to take ONE LOOK and know in his gut that it was NOT the upstairs seal that had worn out overtime and pleaded with me to open the ceiling to make certain where the leak was coming from. I knew I had to repair the ceiling so I gave Isaac the green light to do so. Oh my God!! Isaac was not only right on his instinct but proved and uncovered the worst plumbing job from when my second floor edition wad done before I bought my house. The large pipes were butted together, rapped with film, and tarred over against every plumbing law and code of how should be done that now tar wore out and was leaking badly. It was a SERIOUS job that MUST be done correctly or will haunt me later again. Isaac and George took measurements and made a list of materials. The next day Isaac and Kayleigh came to do the job. 11 hrs from 8am-7pm. The job was impeccable! They redid floor flanges correctly for those were done wrong by previous installer and installed new toilets. Now, I have visible and hidden nanny cams in my house. I had no choice but to step out to pick son up as well and to do errands. Baethke was the MOST professional and literally focused on THEIR work and were VERY respectful of complete house and property minding their own business NEVER looking at or touching what they should not touch when I stepped out leaving them alone to complete their work. I had ceiling repaired after they finished but took picture of their work before repairing ceiling. The plumbing is NOW done perfectly correctly to city codes and sound! Call Baethke if you want it done perfectly AND can feel calm and safe about leaving your house with them to do it without you being there!...“ Show more
