They stopped and left their contact information and some even got on the roof. What they all had in common was their promise that they could get the insurance to cover the replacement. We finally picked a company to try processing our roof repair with the insurance company and the claim was submitted and my insurance company decided to repair not replace the roof. The contractor said they could not do the repair because the shingles were too fragile. We resubmitted the insurance claim but the insurance company was not budging. That is when the roofing company just stopped communicating with me. I just gave up at this point. My review of Coastal Elite Roofing: A few months had went by and that is when we met Smith Adams. Smith noticed the damage we had right after a good storm. He knocked on the door and we told him we were not interested due to our previous experience with the other contractor. He promised that his company was different and he guaranteed they could get results. We reluctantly let him check out the roof and when he came down he was shocked that the insurance company did not authorize a full replacement. While explaining the damage to us he seemed much more knowledgeable than the previous contractor. We decided to give it another shot on filing an insurance claim. We signed some paperwork with Coastal Elite Roofing to start the process and the rest is history. The insurance company approved the claim and we met with Smith again to pick out the new shingles and schedule a time for the new roof to be installed. I was then contacted by a nice lady in the office to arrange payment of the small amount I owed. I can't remember her name but she was great. As the install date approached, I was contacted by Colby Easterwood. He was the production manager and wanted to make sure the install went smoothly. He was very nice and also a pleasure to work with. The install crew showed up at 7 a.m. on the install day and got right to work. I had an appointment in Savannah that morning and was unable to stay at the house. I got home just a little before noon and the crew was almost finished. Wow, is all i could think. They were so fast and did such a great job and cleaned up afterwards. Those guys were amazing. Shout out to Smith Adams, Colby Easterwood, the office staff, and the installers. Jeffrey Riley says: „We've used South Shore Roofing twice in two years for two large projects, and it's been an excellent experience both times. Last year we needed a new low-slope roof for our back porch/sunroom, and we called South Shore based partially off the recommendation of our handyman. Because of the great work they did, when we needed new asphalt shingle roof on the rest of the house this year, we went with them too. Here's the three things that set South Shore apart for me: 1) No pressure. There were no high-pressure sales tactics. There was no hurry to sign. Both times we've used South Shore, they did their inspection, talked through what they saw and what they'd do to replace it, and very specifically told us "This is a big expensive purchase for your home, talk it over and get back to us whenever you're ready." Some other roofing companies would give us an estimate, then lower it as an incentive to "sign today" as soon as we said we needed some time to think about it and get other estimates. Like, how did your costs change that much in 20 minutes? South Shore was the exact opposite of that, and I respected that a lot. 2) Great communication. They were the only folks we got an estimate from who insisted on getting into the attic to inspect the roof from the inside as well as outside. Everyone else only got on the roof, but they took the extra step of checking for leak spots and documenting everything from inside too. This helped when it came time for the added costs -- they were able to give us a pretty accurate estimate beforehand on how much extra wood they'd need to replace rotten and warped panels. With emails, calls and texts, they were always on the ball letting us know how things were progressing. 3) Price. They were competitive on pricing with everyone else we got estimates from for both jobs. Especially for the asphalt shingles on the rest of the house, they came in well under every other company's estimates, even with the added wood that needed replacing. Because of how good the quality of their work seems to be, I was kinda expecting them to come out the highest of all our estimates, but it was the opposite.
