We had some mold-related floor damage in our washroom and a few loose wooden boards in our very old dining room floor. We are planning a reno when interest rates come down so we just wanted these two things fixed. We didn't need some giant overhaul of the floor. It was a relatively small job, but many contractors we called wanted to make it a big one, ripping out whole swaths of the floor and replacing supports and joists in the crawlspace. Ghani from Infiniti was the only contractor who seemed to understand what we were asking. Where some contractors didn't seem interested in the small job, Ghani eagerly gave us an estimate, and it was, by far, the best. Very fair. He had his team there so quickly, too, that we were surprised when they called. They came in, laid down a runner so they didn't mess up our rugs, and got to work. They moved the washer and dryer with great care and covered everything in the washroom and adjoining pantry with dropcloths to protect them from dust. Ghani and I agreed the tile in the washroom didn't need to be a perfect match because most of the damage was beneath the washer and dryer, but they dang near matched it anyway. I can barely tell the difference without looking closely. Same holds true for the three boards they replaced. You have to look closely to see they're different. The workers were friendly and highly skilled. They worked quickly. The floor feels so much more secure and sturdy now. If I had one tiny piece of constructive criticism, it's that the workers cleaned their tools in the side alley and left a bit of a mess, but it washed away after a couple rains. Not a huge deal...
