Given the importance of this project, we obtained about 7 quotes and decided on shingle masters. Our salesperson was initially great with giving us information about our options, materials, and gave a number of referrals for homes that they completed. Overall, they provided the best options for price, quality, and extensiveness of the proposal. We scheduled our roof replacement a few days prior to a planned out of town visit. We received a phone call from the salesperson requesting to be rescheduled for our next availability as our initial date would not work. We agreed and confirmed the Monday and Tuesday of the rescheduled week. About a week before the start of the project, we received an email confirming the project start for Thursday from their office. We immediately reached out to clarify. Since we made arrangements for ourselves and our pet to be out of the house, we had to scramble for a new plan and found out that the Monday date was not communicated by our salesperson to the scheduling team. Mike was apologetic and offered to contact the other customer to reschedule. At that point, we did not want any further confusion so we went ahead with moving our plans to accommodate for Thursday and Friday of that week. Our crew, headed by Kris, were skilled, thorough, respectful, and detail-oriented. We appreciated how extremely hard working the team was throughout the project. Kris was easy to communicate with and was able to answer all of my questions. The punch out team was also fantastic - they were able to come out within a few days post-roof completion. Again, extremely thorough and skilled - could not say enough good things! Neighbors were commenting on what a great job the crew did, their professionalism and how fantastic our roof looked! Upon completion of our project, we received a number of pictures. We had an issue with one of the brand of materials used. Our agreed upon brand during the proposal was not used on the roof. We reached out to get information on why the change of brand was not communicated to us. Mike and Kris were very responsive, and Mike was able to narrow down the cause. He was again apologetic and took accountability. We appreciated this approach - they were not trying to hide anything, they owned up to the mistake, and they “ate” some of the cost of the roofing materials to account for the mistake. This was a long, tedious process. Even with the two incidents of miscommunication, we highly recommend shingle masters. Mistakes are bound to happen with big projects. I will always go with companies that stand behind their work, have integrity, and take accountability...“ Show more
