Edward Merrill says: „There are a great many things to say about the service I got from Basset this past week and I would like to start from the beginning. I filled out the online appointment form and got an almost immediate reply and an appointment to come look at my furnace. It was a bit chilly and I got a note with a picture of the serviceman that would show up and a note stating when he would be here which is a great innovation. Bobby showed up and went right to work diagnosing the problem and as he was cleaning the sensors we got to talking and I asked what was the usual lifetime on a furnace and he said usually around 15 years but they can last longer with repairs. Our furnace was over 20 years old and since we have been having a lot of trouble with it the last few years I asked about getting a new furnace. We made a deal right after he talked with his boss to make sure they had one that would match the heating requirements of our house and would fit where the old furnace was. He fixed the old furnace and it operated well enough until the new one could be installed early the next week. Lorenzo and Chris came out on a cold and blustery Tuesday morning with the new furnace and after scoping out the old furnace and what they needed to do they began work. They were both very efficient and quick and also very careful to not make a mess which I appreciated and commented on and was told that it was just part of their service. They removed the old furnace and then replaced it with a new one making sure that everything was done perfectly. They then installed CO detectors to meet the current construction code and would have installed a new thermostat as well but I elected to keep my Nest thermostat. They they made a test run of the furnace to make sure everything worked as it should. It worked very well and is super quiet too. The inspection was scheduled for the next day and when the inspector came by I took him to the basement to do his inspection. He was very thorough and commented on the high quality of the work Lorenzo and Chris had done on installing our furnace. He was very favorably impressed by their work and the note they left him to make sure that he knew they had sealed the inside as well as the outside of the furnace. He checked the CO detectors as well. The Duct Cleaning was also just as professional and Brendan even showed up early after calling and asking if he could come by early. He was very thorough and talked me through everything that he was doing so I knew what was being done and how. An outstanding young man who loves what he is doing. From the moment I contacted them their scheduler was friendly and helpful, giving me lots of tips and tricks and things to ask the other companies I was getting estimates from. She was able to get me on the schedule quickly and a few days later I met with Danny who listened to my needs, understood my problem, and recommended a very reasonable solution. After meeting with a few other companies and learning more about split systems I had some follow-up questions for Danny and he was always quick to answer and very helpful. We were able to work together to put a system together that we both thought would meet my needs and he genuinely seemed to care about the work he was doing and was very motivated to get my business. After a few more discussions, I was ready to make my decision and hire Priority Plumbing and Heating. About a week later, I had my scheduled install day with Justin and had another really good interaction with the team at Priority. He was very knowledgeable about the systems he was install and was able to get my new mini-split installed pretty much the same day (he would have finished the job but needed an extremely tall latter to reach the top of my house, which he did next day). The new unit far exceeds my expectations, and I am very happy that we can now live upstairs with much comfort on the hottest of days or the coldest of nights. I also greatly appreciate that Justin told me about the potential tax breaks I would get from the efficient system they installed and even mentioned the rebates offered by the local utility company. That rebate just got me a credit of $2,000 for making this upgrade to my home. The final piece to note, and what makes it a no brainer to give them repeat work (other than the passion both their salesman and tech showed for the company), is the follow-up and care I received after payment was made. Many companies cut and run after they get their payday, but I needed my invoice and final receipt structured a certain way to get the rebate from the local utility and the admin at Priority understood my ask and quickly made the modification to include the model numbers to those items that allowed me to submit my rebate request. I also had a two integration units on my order that I decided to wait on installation on and both were left with me so I could make that determination at a later date. One of the units was missing the connector cable and instead of just providing me with that cable Priority went out of their way to stop by a week later to drop off a whole new unit. It’s this kind of customer service that is rare these days and what will make me come back to Priority Plumbing and Heating over and over again.
