Kelly, our technician, arrived promptly and performed everything we needed to have done to our furnace in a timely, friendly and professional manner. Mike Bump, tech, promptly diagnosed my AC issue-Air Handler shutting down when fluid not draining, a safety mechanism. Another company came out and had no clue. I continue to have positive experience with Ultimate for 13 years on the A/C side. The costs for HVAC services seem outrageous, but at least with this company, I do get positive results and they have always given me an accurate diagnosis and timely fix. Please do yourself a favor and read this! These guys come across as very professional in the beginning and I've used them for service many times. They put two new high end AC units in my new house about 3 years ago through my contractor and last summer one of them stopped working. They came by and charged me $69 for an estimate which is fine and said I had an freon leak in one of the units. He gave me an estimate of $2,300 to fix the leak because he said it's out of warranty. They came back a few days later and after working on it said that I needed a new unit and it can't be repaired and said it's 12 thousand to replace it with a similar one. I said why did you say you would fix it for $2,300 when all you did for $2,300 is tell me I have a leak which I already knew. I Called Carrier and they said I had a 10 year warranty on it. I Called them and they said they didn't know that. A certified Carrier company was trying to sell me a new unit with a 10 year warranty but didn't know a unit they sold me 3 years ago had warranty. Well they ended up getting the new coil under warranty but charged me $3,400 for labor. I called another company Golden West to get a second opinion and they told me where they thought the condenser leak was but they would charge me $1200 to do the test. Well since I was already working with Ultimate I had them go ahead with the work. I told the technician about what the other company said and he said he tested the system and the leak was in the outside and not inside. I trusted them and paid the $3,400 but it wasn't fixed until December so I had no reason to turn it on. Well summer comes and I start getting the same error message about the leak. I called them and they sent another technician out. I told him everything that happened and he goes in my house and in 15 minutes says the leak is exactly where the other company said it was and he didn't understand how the last guy could have missed it. Well he calls his boss and they tell me it's going to cost another $2,400 to fix it and the last guy did nothing wrong. So I spent $8000 to fix a leak and 7 months of working with them and got absolutely nothing out of it. This is a company with absolutely no integrity. I own a company too and when my employees mess up I take care of the customer because it's the right thing to do...
