59 Anaheim says: „I have had the system installed for 10 months now. Below is my experience with West Coast Energy. I received a few quotes to get a heat pump installed. One was from a Costco vendor, the other based on a google search. West Coast Energy was my last quote. They were the most reasonable and had the most straight forward pricing out of the three I dealt with. The other quotes were layered with rebates and incentives, high pressure sales where discounts would be gone if I didn't act quickly. It was as if I was buying a used car or time share you think the price is X but by the time you are done talking with them it's Y. The other dealers wanted to install new vents in the house, they threw out the Asbestos word to scare me into thinking the old vents were killing me and my family. I brought this up with West Coast they said the vents were fine they just needed to be resealed at certain connection points to ensure there was no air leakage, They said they would take care of it when they installed the new unit, which they did. I was concerned that their price was so reasonable that I was going to have issues with the install. There were some issues with wiring of the thermostat and a new electrical code requiring the heat pump be wired to a GFI breaker. They took care of both issues quickly. The thermostat wiring took a day, we should have asked for a temporary heater but didn't think about it at the time. Was not expecting it to get so cold. Afterwards they said they would have left one with us an apologized for not thinking about it themselves. We failed the inspection at the first pass but they came out and installed the GFI breaker so we could pass and get our permit. I would recommend getting a heat pump. They replaced my 40 year old AC and furnace with a heat pump. It's much more efficient than the old system my utility bills have gone down. I don't use any more gas for heat, I only use gas for the water heater now, my gas bills have been 14 dollars or less since it was installed. I was expecting my electrical bill to have a large increase and that has not happened, the year over year comparison of my bills are pretty much flat. Overall a great experience I am feel lucky I was able to find them and use them for my new system. They saved me so much money...“ Show more
