I have a new build house, so I am very particular about finding a technician to service my AC units because the units are brand new and I do not want just anyone tinkering with it. I had interviewed four other AC/furnace repairmen companies, and they all provided me with different opinions and tried to upsell me with a lot of different services to run the price up. As mentioned, I moved into a new build with brand new appliances, and one technician even mentioned that I purchase a new unit altogether that would cost me several thousand dollars. It didn't add up. After interviewing the different companies, I came across Vlad and this company, AirMaker Hvac. Vlad was actually hands on with the assessment, and didnt just eyeball the appliances and give me a quote up front like the other companies. That involvement alone and going the extra step to actually tinker and diagnose the problem already made me feel confident and assured that he actually knew what the problem was. It's like going to the doctor's and just having them eyeball you and tell you what's wrong, without actually taking the stethescope to listen to your lungs...that's like what the other technicians did. What Vlad diagnosed as the problem was far different than what anyone else had suggested was the issue, and he gave me a quote that seemed honest and fair, and definitely was not in the thousands like the others. It definitely did not require replacing and purchasing a new furnace...What a huge and costly mistake that would have been. It's hard to come across honest and hard working companies and am so glad that I interviewed several companies to distinguish and weed out the bad apples, because I was able to find that Vlad will be my forever a/c and furnace serviceman! It's a pain trying to interview and schedule appts with people to just end up not using them cause something doesnt feel right upon the appointment encounter. There's this sense you get..like a gut feeling that something doesnt feel right--like youre getting ripped off. You won't get that with Vlad... if you schedule an appointment with him, you'll see what I mean upon your interaction with him. He's honest, skilled, and knowledgeable.
