Truly a 5 star experience. I was finicky and had special requests for Servando and he accommodated me with zero issues. For instance I run a jiujitsu school here in Fremont and our fans went out, meaning my heat was unavailable. We have adults and children that come to our school everyday and this being winter, I was definitely in a concerned mood. Plus I didn’t really have any experience with finding help for HVAC in general. Yelp has this feature that connects you with various companies and Servandos message stood out because it was the most transparent on pricing. That got me in the door but what really sold me on going with Made Simple was the awesome communication with Servando. We’re talking questions, requests, what-if scenarios, scheduling, working being done, updates, pictures of his vehicle and himself. Due to my schedule and urgent need I actually couldn’t be there for his inspection but we were able to make it work, plus I can’t have boots on majority of our floor due to the mats and he totally made it work. Biggest thing why I rate this company 5 stars because Servando felt like a very honest and caring person. Our issue at the unit was multi stage as one thing had to be repaired before we can uncover the underlying issue. But each step he walked me thru it, brainstormed options, and helped guide me. He didn’t just go right into suggesting replacing the whole unit, no, he tested components and told me what I can get away with and advised me on various layers of repair. Given my budget, he helped me work thru it. BTW, my elderly neighbor in my plaza saw Servando and asked for help at his place and he did it. That’s a lot harder than it sounds because he had places to go and sticking in an impromptu inspection isn’t easy. He also saw the issue “wasn’t major” in his words and actually fixed it! Didn’t charge him and helped him out. I had to share this as it’s super impressive. Again, just honest and caring. I had zero idea who to call on HVAC but I now have my go-to company in Servando and Made Simple. How often does some break unexpectedly and have to get it fixed and walk away happy?! Definitely would refer them in a heart beat. Check them out, you won’t regret it...“ Show more

Chanelle S says: „Excellent service and employees. We recently had out entire heating system circa 1972 (yes, 1972) updated by Bell Brothers and we couldn't be happier. We are a family with four small children ages 1-6 years old, and we now have a safe and efficient heating system, and well... a warm house. Having recently purchased this old house, we knew that we would inevitably have to replace our furnace. So when it stopped working a few weeks ago, we thought we could hire Bell Brothers (who came highly recommended by my father-in-law who at 75 years old had knowledge of this good company for years and years) to simply light the pilot light. Our service tech Ruben came out and knew everything about our relic furnace, and did exactly what we asked and relit the pilot. Not pushy with sales at at all, which we really appreciated, he pointed out that there was ASBESTOS TAPE in plain view! Yes, ASBESTOS. In. Our. Hallway. We asked for his advice on everything, and he pointed out all the options available to us from simply removing/replacing the cancer-causing tape, to renovating our entire heating system and ductwork. As we made it clear we didn't have the funds for a major renovation, he was very considerate and logical explaining how projects could be broken down in matter of importance as far as what we needed/wanted done. We learned that our ducts had no insulation, our entire house had no insulation, our 1972 heater was simply turning on full blast and energy was being wasted on heating the old sheet metal ducts as well as going out of the house with no insulation. Basically, our $450 montly PG&E bill and freezing house was starting to make sense. He made a call and within an hour, Jonathan came by to explain the options in detail. Jonathan was the best salesperson we could have asked for. He was polite, professional, and seemed to really care about our budget and needs. He explained every option of what we could/should replace, and every option of pricing for said service/product. That morning, we went from wanting to only spending money on lighting the pilot, to happily purchasing a new furnace, new ducts, insulation in our attic, and an AC coil for the future if/when we (or or future homeowners of this house) decide to get AC. We learned that Bell Brothers had financing which is really what made this possible for us. Jonathan connected us with a asbestos removal company, ERI, and Bell Brothers and ERI worked together seamlessly so we could get our project complete. Within a few days, ERI came out and safely cleared away the asbestos, and Bell Brothers started their work the next day! The installation dream team consisted of Noemi, Abe, and Mojen, and they were amazing! They were professional and friendly, and worked nonstop to get the job done over the course of two days. Lastly, the insulation team was really great and got their job done in 1-2 hours!! By the end of day two, our house was insulated and effectively heated. The Bell Brothers installation team swept up every bit of debris from their work, and after everyone left, it was as if nobody had even been there in regard to things being clean and organized. In a nutshell, what used to take hours of the heater running only to have the house cold immediately after the heater was shut off, we can now run our heater for 5-10 minutes (yes, 5-10 minutes) and have a warm house for the entire night. We called Bell Brothers on a Thursday morning about the pilot light, and by Thursday afternoon the following week we had an entirely new heating system that we couldn't be happier with. Don Roberts says: „If you're skimming reviews, Freon Service is a great residential heating contractor. Background—Last year (2023), I noticed that my central air conditioning system blew semi-cool air and ran most of the day. Then, the system just shut down. Not aware of Freon Service, I arranged for another AC repair service to see how to get my AC working again. The capacitor had gone bad in the almost two-decade-old outside condenser unit, and the technician was able to source a hard-to-find replacement. While the tech was replacing the capacitor, I mentioned that the air from our system wasn't that cool. He connected his equipment and indicated the system was down two or three pounds of Freon. While his AC service company no longer carried Freon, he recommended we try to find another AC repair company in San Jose that still carried Freon for repairs. He indicated it would cost $400-500 per pound. Being we were in September, we decided to wait until the summer of 2024 to do something about it. In late spring 2024, we began having pretty warm days. I found Freon Service on Yelp, liked the numerous positive reviews, and decided to call them to inquire about getting some Freon pumped into our system. They did have it, and they dispatched a tech the same day. The friendly Freon Service tech found that our Freon situation was much worse than just being down two to three pounds. It didn't have any Freon. If we had arranged for the system to be refilled last year, we likely would have wasted over $1,000. The Freon Service tech diagnosed that the leak originated at the evaporator coil in the attic. The contractor who initially installed the attic unit didn't get things quite right. The drainage system's level was off, causing water to pool next to the evaporator coil, which caused it to rust over time. That led to the Freon leak. The friendly Chief Comfort Advisor at Freon Service, Dennis, gave us a fair price. So, I decided to move forward. They even tossed in a cool new Nest thermostat for free. From the initial contact to diagnosis to repairs to wrapping things up, Freon Service did an excellent job with quality equipment at a fair price. And they were very careful to protect carpets and areas around attic access from getting dirty. They are now my go-to residential heating and cooling service.
