Buddy Vickers says: „A few weeks ago, we discovered a leak had developed in a front room. It apparently was caused by water dammed up in a roof valley that had filled with leaves and debris.
After contacting a trusted friend who had dealt with several local roofers, we were advised to contact Fred Hollingsworth.
He visited and confirmed our suspicions and gave us an estimate to repair the roof and flashing, to include replacing the damaged wood underneath. Then, at my request, we walked around the house looking for any other needed repairs.
Fred spotted a couple aging grout seals around roof vent pipes, but nothing major, until we made it almost completely around the house.
Where the satellite dish was mounted on the roof, the shingles were sagging. The next week, when his crew arrived to make the repairs, they pulled the mount up and revealed there was no wood underneath. A huge hole about a foot in diameter was under the shingles and even the trusses had begun to rot. The dish was being held in place by just the shingles and support braces.
By the end of the day, the crew had replaced all the damaged wood, installed new flashing and covered it with a huge sticky plastic barrier to prevent water from even getting to the flashing, and had new matching shingles in place. And the technique they used to seal the flashing to the brick wall where the leak occurred was fascinating and very complete.
Everything we discussed was repaired and the price was more than reasonable.
When we have to have our roof replaced, Hollingsworth will definitely get another call from us...“ Show more
