We should have called Watkins FIRST!!! We had a couple of leaks in our ceiling in 2 different places. We called a company we used to replace a roof at one of our other properties, but apparently THIS job was too small and they suggested letting one of their workers do it independently. We weren’t confident in that, plus we did not feel valued after being dismissed. So I called another local company that is highly visible. A rep came out and told me how intimidating our roof is. He did not have the technology to assess it without getting up there. He said he would send someone, but when he learned that the insurance company was sending someone to get up there, he met that person at our home. Of course insurance said they did not find anything and the claim was denied. After that, the roofer ghosted us. I told him we were able to pay out-of-pocket. He stopped answering calls and texts and nobody ever came back to do any type of assessment. Once again, we felt devalued and dismissed. The rainy season passed so, out of sight out of mind, but the leaks were still LURKING. So when the rainy season came again, so did the leaks, this time WORSE. That’s when I thought about the commercials with LURK the LEAK and called WATKINS. I was afraid I’d experience more of the same, but they made us feel EXTREMELY valued from the first call to the completion of the work. They work like a machine and everything was seamless from start to finish!!! They got us scheduled, Jamie came exactly when he said he would. He didn’t have to get on the roof, he had the technology to assess it from the ground and was able to diagnose the problem and show me pictures right away. He came up with a plan and got me an estimate the next day. From there, each member of the team picked up the ball and nobody ever dropped it! From financial discussions, to scheduling, to performing the work, they treated our 2 leaks just as important as a total roof replacement. They ended up replacing some of the decking, flashing, shingles, and siding. The work was done in one day. The painters came and painted the next day and the color was a perfect match. They cleaned up after themselves as if they were never there. In fact, if I didn’t see them, I wouldn’t have known they were even there but for the normal sounds associated with this type of work. They followed up to make sure the work was to our satisfaction. I had a question. They had a gentleman (I forgot his name) call to answer my question. Though he answered my question sufficiently, he still sent Jay with Quality Assurance to take a look. And I mean this was all chain reactions with almost ZERO wait time. It was like BAM BAM BOOM! Jay came the same day and checked everything. He showed me the advanced materials used and explained how they work and what I can expect. I had peace of mind, but he still encouraged me to call if I had ANY additional questions and he would come back. He was so personable, polite, and caring. I got an invoice and a warranty. We paid cash as it was very REASONABLE. The customer service was TOP KNOTCH! Everyone was nice, kind, attentive, personable, and efficient. I forgot to mention, even after scheduling, I got updates from Stephanie to let me know everything was still on task up until the day of production. I truly appreciated the constant COMMUNICATION. It was very refreshing after being let down and ghosted before. This was in August/September 2025. It is now November and we have had several HEAVY rains and NO leaks. We are still very excited, relived, appreciative of Watkins as well as each and every person that handled us and our project with CARE and RESPECT from start to finish!!!
