Irene was confident that she’d found a reputable contractor to replace her roof. Not only were they listed as an Owens Corning “Preferred Contractor,” they had also gone through an extensive background check before getting listed on Directorii.com.
Irene hired the roofer and paid them $17,000–the total amount she’d received from her insurance company. Then weeks went by. Then a month. Then almost two.
The roofer told her that the shingles were on back order because of a supply shortage. But when Irene contacted the supplier, they said that wasn’t true. That’s when she decided to reach out to Directorii.
After hearing her story, Our CEO Dmitry made a call to Irene’s contractor to figure out what was causing the delay. The roofer realized he needed to make things right, and returned her deposit.
“[The contractor] kept saying there was a shortage in the shingles. I said, well, I spoke with the rep, I gave their name … And every excuse that he kept coming up with, I would basically say, ‘This is what I found out from other companies. No one else is having a shortage of people or shingles. I called your supplier.’ I made it known that I had made my phone calls to verify all the information that he’d given me…
Dmitry [from Directorii] just called him and he says, ‘Hey, you know, these people found you through Directorii. You better make this right, because I'm endorsing you.’ So that's really why [the contractor] gave us an exit out. And I was like ‘There it is. Thank you, Lord.’”
