Richard Harris says: „After the storms and high winds in my area earlier this year, I noticed water on my front porch which was coming from behind the siding. Assuming roof damage, I called a roofing company advertising on a local radio station in Northern Virginia. The company informed me that they worked regularly with insurance companies for storm-related roof damages. However, when I tried to schedule an appointment for them to inspect my roof prior to my contacting my insurance company they informed me that they did not do inspections prior to a claim being filed; I told them I would look elsewhere. I then called Nu Look Home Design, who agreed to send an inspector to my home the same week. The Nu Look inspector (Kevin) came to my home on time, went upon my roof, and conducted a very detailed roof inspection, complete with photographs of storm-damaged shingles on all major roof surfaces, chalk markings on all the damaged shingles (visible from the ground), and a complete written report with applicable Virginia building code references supporting the need for a completely new roof. I was very impressed with the Nu Look report and immediately filed a claim with my insurance company, submitting the report as part of my claim. When my insurance company sent out their adjuster, Kevin came to my home as well, and accompanied the adjuster throughout his inspection and discussing each portion of the report with him. My insurance company approved the installation of a completely new roof, which Nu Look installed the following week. Two days prior to the installation, the Nu Look foreman (Oscar) came to my house and explained the installation process to me. On the day of the actual installation, the Nu Look crew showed up on time and Oscar came with them to ensure the installation got started on time and that all the crew members understood their assigned tasks. The crew was very friendly, efficient, and cleaned up their work area as they went. The installation was completed in the early afternoon the same day and my family and I were totally impressed with the Nu Look work. I shared my experience with my neighbors and two of them also reached out to Nu Look and had similar results to mine. All-in-all, Nu Look did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone. From the young man who first knocked on my door, to the salesman who came to the house, to the crew that got the project going, and the supervisor who helped with finishing up the paperwork. They all were very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. I needed a new roof and was in the process of looking for a good contractor. That was one job I hated because of the pressure and stress I’ve experienced in the past when needing major work done around the house. But, with this company THERE WAS NO PRESSURE!!! Emmanuel was the young man who came to my door, explained who he was, and who he worked for, and was very respectful of my time. I told him I was interested to see what they had to offer. Then came Ralph. Ralph was very pleasant, easygoing, and fun. He was informative, and knowledgeable, listened, and worked with us. We felt very comfortable around him. Have you ever agreed to a contract, but after they’d leave, you would start regretting it, and wonder if you did the right thing? You’d toss and turn throughout the night debating if you should cancel or keep it? That night, I slept like a baby. We were shown what materials would be used, how they worked, and what would be good, better, and best, for my dwelling. The pricing was what I expected, and I had a range of choices to choose from. What I didn’t expect was to be able to get a better deal that was within my price range. As the hubby and I discussed the options, prices, and financial positions, not once were we pressured or interrupted to make a decision. It was my hubby who, after careful discussion, brainstorming, viewing, and reviewing, said let’s go with the best. Then came the day for installation… I had a double layer of shingles that needed to be removed. After removal, it was found, I needed some wood replaced. AJ was the supervisor, and he kept us informed throughout the process. As the project progressed, he sent us pictures so we could see it for ourselves, or the reason for replacement, whatever the situation, we were informed. Everything went smoothly. Everyone was very polite, and the crew worked efficiently, just like a team should. I have to say, that group of men worked very well together. Also, after the roof was done, the crew did their diligence to make sure everything was cleaned up. After the cleanup, AJ sat with us to close out everything and to make sure we were pleased with the job that was done. I highly recommend this company. Not once were we pressured into anything we didn’t want. We were informed throughout the project of how things were going. The whole crew was polite and respectful. From Emmanuel to Ralph, AJ, and the crew, all were there to serve you. In the future, for any exterior projects I have that need attention, I am calling these guys...“ Show more
