After a recent storm and the loss of some shingles on our roof, we decided to replace the whole thing. After extensive research, we settled on Big Bear Roofing and reached out to them. The estimator, Dallas got back to us right away and came out to survey the damage. He used a drone to look at every part of the roof and found more damage than we could not see from the ground. He had a team come and put a temporary patch in place to protect an exposed area. Dallas prepared us with every possible option for full replacement, spending enough time to ensure we were comfortable and providing all the paperwork and information that our insurance company would need. He coordinated with Ashley, the Big Bear adjuster to meet with our insurance company adjuster and she ensured every inch was addressed. Once roof day arrived, the crew was well prepared and very competent. They finished in the same day, including clean up (we have a large roof – this was impressive). Tommy and Justin were both excellent to communicate with. The crew worked efficiently and did the best to clean up afterwards. My issue is that if my husband was not home checking their work, we would be really unhappy customers. We paid extra for Mylar backed plywood and were told that was what would be installed. Plain plywood was delivered and they started to install that telling my husband it was the correct kind. The project manager eventually  came with the correct plywood but my husband had to ask them to remove what they started to install twice. My husband flew our drone a few days after they finished and saw there was a spot of exposed wood, a few nails that weren’t sealed, and a few other small areas needing repair. Although Big Bear sent their team out to fix it quickly, what if we wouldn’t have checked? Also I had to call to make sure all items were repaired. I felt fully confident with the team initially but don’t like that we had to check their work. Justin was excellent to make everything better in the end and I really appreciated that. Also the roof was finished in one day and looks great...

We couldn’t be happier, well unless of course our roof leak never happened during Debby. Having said that, dealing with Big Bear Roofing, specifically Jason and his crew, was outstanding starting with a live person answering my call at 9 pm on the weekend of the storm to our quote appointment on Monday afternoon. The work was done within the week and communication was constant and thorough, including drone pictures, text messages and phone calls that were prompt, professional and so reassuring.
