We had a deeply disappointing experience with Preferred Home Improvement. While they were working on our neighbor's deck, we noticed debris, including wood pieces, dust, and other materials, left on our side, which was already concerning. However, what was more alarming was the additional damage caused to our deck. Our deck has been deemed unsafe by an engineer, and any further damage could result in catastrophic failure. Despite having photos of our deck with the damage, the owner of Preferred Home Improvement showed up with an attitude that was both condescending and dismissive.

When I initially called and spoke with Alex and Mike, I even joked that maybe they could give us a quote for our deck when we're ready to get it done, giving them the benefit of the doubt and hoping they would make things right. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, the owner questioned why he was even there, given the existing condition of our deck. This is unacceptable behavior from any business, let alone one whose employees caused damage and left debris on our property. We were essentially accused of trying to get a "free job" out of the situation, which was not only insulting but also completely unfounded.

We are beyond disappointed with the lack of professionalism and the disrespect shown by the owner. We will be pursuing a formal complaint with the BBB and will be bringing this issue to the attention of our HOA. We expected better and would caution anyone considering this company for their home improvement needs...

Recently Preferred completed a beautiful Hardy siding install with amazing new black soffits as well. Installed new plywood as well! This was a big job and they did excellent work. Would recommend these guys for any job. They also completed an install of our 11FT wide Bow window that is incredible and we get nothing but complements...

We recently contracted with Preferred Home Improvement to update our deck and hand rails with composite materials. They did so with clear pricing and professional workmanship.
Their recommendations on color and material were spot on and proved to be the right choice.
Their response to our concerns and timely completion of those concerns, I highly recommend them for all home improvement needs...

Our project with Preferred included all new siding, windows, gutters, and a new porch. Mike, his son & the whole Preferred team did an outstanding job. Everything from the pricing to the construction and materials/installation was great. If you're looking for a company with family owned values look no further...
