I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Alex and Alta Homes. We purchased a home in Amherst  during Covid that needed extensive work. So extensive as it turned out, Alex built us a completely new home from the roof down to the existing foundation. It was an involved process, but Alex made it smooth while always keeping an eye on detail. The end result is the most comfortable and beautiful house we have ever lived in. Alex was always available to answer any questions and had an open ear to some unconventional suggestions. When we wanted to put a shower in a very tiny half bath that seemed impossible, Alex built us a wet-room bath!
I have called Alex a couple of times since the original build finished for small projects and he has always been able to accommodate our needs personally or with his skilled workers.

Alex, the contractor provided a detailed plan to replace the wooden deck with a maintenance-free deck.  Alex is professional, knowledgeable, and personable.  The team is professional, meticulous, and hard-working.  I was impressed with the high-quality of workmanship, high-quality of material, and fair cost. Alex and his team were exceptional! This was a huge project for us gutting and rebuilding a cape in Amherst near the university from the roof down to the foundation. in addition, new windows, wiring, and plumbing with an upgraded on demand hot water system.  A big plus was the new insulation that works great lowering utility bills.  They custom built the stairs to the upper floor and basement which was a terrific add. overall, I would not hesitate to ask Alex and his team to help out with future jobs. Dr. Wilkins...
