Do not hesitate to get a quote from them for any of your HVAC needs. Longer version: Our central AC died right at the start of a humid mid-to-high 90’s heat wave in July 2024. We were sticky, overheated, and generally miserable. Jason did everything in his power to fix that as quickly and effectively as possible, all while clearly explaining our options, providing us with documentation and environmental ratings for equipment, and generally being a trustworthy, transparent contractor putting his potential clients at ease and patiently waiting while we weighed our options on whether to just replace the central A/C unit, or go with a more efficient matched system, also replacing the aging, inefficient furnace. If you are someone who appreciates timely, accurate, informative responses to questions, either by electronic communication or telephone or in person, Jason is your guy. I always felt completely informed and at ease that, first, our questions were being answered competently and comprehensively, and second, that the work was being done in an efficient, effective, transparent manner. He was respectful of our home and items in it, and endeavored to do the work with no disruption or effect on existing architecture. Jason never pushed more expensive solutions (in fact, the AC unit we went with was smaller, cheaper, and more appropriately sized for our residence than the one I would’ve probably defaulted to on my own). After we made our decision on an efficient matched system (two days before Jason was scheduled to replace the AC unit) he showed up on time and stayed until the AC unit was running and cooling the house (a 10-hour+ day!), and then finished the less time-sensitive furnace work the following day. If you want the approach of dealing with an upselling, cookie-cutter solution-peddling, unknowledgeable salesman showing up and pitching you an overpriced system, to be installed by a new tech, who only started at the company last week, BY ALL MEANS go ahead and work with one of the big companies with massive advertising budgets. BUT, if you’d rather have the RIGHT system for YOUR home installed COMPETENTLY and CORRECTLY, I give my full-throated recommendation to Northern Lights Heating and Air...“ Show more

Starting with the very first appointment, Jon the consultant, was genuinely invested and interested in what we were needing. We had other companies come to give us an estimate, and they were just listening for opportunities to up-sell us with things we didn't need or want. Not Jon McKenzie. He was so genuinely kind and considerate and very pleasant! Getting an accurate quote with helpful suggestions was the easy part. Now, cue up an epic, exhausting, and demoralizing 8 week-long battle with our home warranty company while trying to work with Apollo as our installers. It was AWFUL, but there was one ray of hope on the horizon, and that was Jon McKenzie. Talk about amazing customer service!! He always answered my questions, responded in a timely manner, followed up when he said he would, and always showed empathy for how hard the Warranty company was making the process. He never seemed rushed or frustrated and was invested in building a professional, caring relationship with clients. In the end, we ditched the home warranty process after getting the run-around for so long and decided to go with the recommended best option from Apollo--a heat pump and high efficiency furnace. I didn't even question the choice because Jon and the Apollo team showed us, at every step, that they cared about our experience with them and wanted to do what was in our best interest.They even lent us a small window AC unit to help us get through the 90 degree days until our units came back into stock!!! What company even does stuff like that anymore? The answer is Apollo. The installing team was a bunch of easy-going, friendly, and professional guys, John, Ryan, and Jeff. Jon M even dropped by to check that everything was going okay on install day!!! The Apollo team took what was an awful experience with a home warranty company and a summer without a working AC and showed me that some companies really do care about customers. I have recommended these folks to everyone I know who is looking for any heating or air services. I truly can't say enough good things about the Apollo team...“ Show more
