I had zhumas replace my metal roof that was leaking with brand new metal roof and its still leaking. Tried calling them and texting them for 2 months now they said 2 months ago they were gonna come and fix it and now they won't even answer my calls or texts I'm stuck with a brand new metal roof that still leaks worse then the old one and them ignoring my calls and texts. Not professional I've talked to a few companies and they said it wasn't installed correctly at all and would need to be replaced and redone again. After paying 10k already to them to have them do it. Metal roofs should outlast any other roof if installed correctly I would not recommend them to anyone to do a metal roof. I don't know how they do other roofs but metal ones I do know.  I think its very unprofessional to pay someone to do a job and them not do it right and leave you hanging and completely ignore you...

TL;DR: Look elsewhere and avoid problems and waste of your time.

I contracted Zhumas Construction Inc in September’23 to fix the sidings of a small area and also to install 3 gutters with leaf guard. They quoted me $3k ($3250 with $250 discount if I accepted the quote the same day), split for $1500 for the siding and $1500 for the gutters. Here is a summary of my experience with them:

* Very slow: 30 days passed between the first and the second gutter installation. Even after I informed them of a leak in the first gutter, they did not come to fix it until they came to install the second gutter. I dread the idea of contacting them due to issues with the work they did in the future after this experience.

* Never on time: They never showed up the day they claimed they would come, and when I asked for an update in the morning they were supposed to show up, I got no response. The first two times I received a message at nighttime to inform me that they were not coming that day. After they got paid, they never notified me of time updates the day they were supposed to come.

* Bad quality: One of the downspouts they installed is attached to the house at only one place, and it is not aligned to the house exterior (See attached pictures). They also did not install the leaf guard and they did not inform me when they left. I discovered later on the same day they “finished” the job.

* Exasperating communication: The communication is not fluid. They reply when they want to, sometimes days later if lucky. I had to keep chasing them to remind them that they still had work pending to finish.

* Broken promises: They told me they don’t get paid until they finished the job. Trusting them, I handed over a check before they finished the job. I informed them of their promise with no avail, they cashed the check the next working day and they ghosted me for a week until I started sending them messages to remind them of the pending work.

* Untrustworthy:  I wanted 3 gutters installed with leaf guards, and they quoted me $1750 for that. The quote only contained “gutters” with “leaf guard” and “seamless aluminum”, but no specific amounts or which sides to install. After they installed the first gutter, they claimed the job done and told me I had to pay them. I called to query about the other 2 gutters I was told they only quoted me for 1 gutter, one that is 18 feet long. That’s $1750 for a single 18 feet long gutter. Confused, I wrote the check. My mistake was double: not realizing that they had not installed the leaf guard, including the low quality of the downspout installation, and failed to review the document I signed. Luckily for me, the document contained “gutters”, not “gutter”, so they had to install, at least, another gutter. I insisted that I had requested 3 gutters and that otherwise I would have not paid $1750  or $1500 for 2 gutters, or even worse for 1.

At the end, they chose to reap short term gains and only installed an additional gutter, at least this time with leaf guard, tossing away the opportunity to continue benefiting from my business in the near future...

Super fast communication! I was added to the schedule within a week for a non-emergency situation. The employees that worked on my house were respectful and responsive to my questions. They removed all damaged material and dispose of it appropriately and they used high quality product. I found the pricing to be fair and the quality excellent! I'll be using Zhuma's construction in the future...

Did an excellent job on repairing our roof after storm damage. Called and had a quick response and within a day they came and gave us an estimate and answered any questions we had.
They came back within a few days and made the necessary repairs. The 2 guys that came to make the repairs worked efficiently and were friendly. They did a great job cleaning up when finished. The roof looks great. Thank you...
