INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE A SCAM... As a first time home owner. I have no experience dealing with insurance. After the storms we had last year i noticed a leak in my laundry room and a pool of water in my garage coming from a wall. Just so happened that crown roofing was in the area talking with my neighbors. I was able to talk with one of them and they helped me get the process going. Getting the roof taken care of was a breeze. as far as the rest of the damage. My insurance company basically left me on read and ghosted me for 5-6 months. I left voicemails and emails. I couldnt reach anyone. Only with the help of crown was i able to finally get everything approved so i can get my wall in my garage replaced. The insurance company fought me so hard on that. They said because my claim doesnt specificly cover "rot" that they would not be adjusting my claim to help supplement the damages. The storm totaled out my roof which caused the water to pool in the wall. It quiet literally pooled in the wall. I had roughly 1ft of sitting water inside. there were 2 5ft sections of my wall that were basically non existent anymore. after pulling down the dry wall i could touch my siding. They wanted to play on a technicality. I really dont understand why we are forced to pay for insurance when all the insurance wants to do is f us over. Cover as little as possible and pocket the rest. Safe to say im switching insurance companies soon. Hopefully they arent all leaches. Thank you crown roofing for taking good care of my familys needs...
