After all, for o er a year, I've been asking around amongst the locals, but most have proven unreliable or unae or unwilling to offer a written estimate. None had liability insurance and were unreliable. After countless Google attempts most were either out of range for my lake cottage near West Branch, MI, while others were way too expensive to even consider. Then one day Thumbtack came on my Apple iphone screen so I said to myself, 'what do ai have to lose?' So I did and four roofers in this service's network popped up, but only one was recommended , because I only could afford just a partial replacement. Most companies do not want to bother doing partials. I needed help with a pain in the butt flat roof, something requiring specialized skills. Without going on and on, I must say Roof Trend did an excellent job. Originally, having had negative experiences with roofers in the past, I was a bit nervous, not knowing who to trust. I was quoted a competitive rate, timely, just as promised. The parts I like best is the salesman and father & son's willingness to honestly answer all my questions and then deliver exactly what they said they would. Leo & Brandon had good people skills and great hands-on work skills. They made very hard work look easy and cleaned up very well when the job was done. They even used a leaf blower to tidy up my well house patio, just in case some sawdust was left behind. Being OCD, I even went iut of my way to 'fibd something', but to my delught abd anazenebt, I could not find a thing. 👍 Mark, the salesman, was also pretty awesome, having excellent people skills, even taking the time to follow up with me the very next day to make sure all was ok on my end. He called and even set up an appountment to personally inspect my little 200 square foot at roof job. Wow! You've got to be kidding me! In all my 30 years in property management, NO ONE has EVER taken the time to inspect their company's recent job. Most don't even call after getting paid. Most exoect to get paid before tbey even deserve to. Many leave the homeowner a mess and some never realize all the shortcuts and deficiencies said so-called roofers are guilty of. Mark, on the other hand, makes it his business and passion to thoroughly understand the profession he has chosen , follows up on all jobs he sold, personally inspects each job and even to a well informed customer, performed at near olympic standards and even 'stuck the landing'. Clearly, a level of performance above the competition, leaving a very distant competitor in the dust. Having a bit of 'buyer's remorse' Mark came out with his ladder.to make sure my concerns were all accurately addresses. I felt spongy areas, just like ai did before I committed to all that money. I felt sick and fearful that 'once again, I got scammed.' Mark cane out and personally inspected thecwork, proving me with detailed photos(70) and showed me my fears were unfounded. I am so relieved that my roof was done very well and going forward I need not call any other roofers as long as the job is within 2 hours of the office. Both teams, sales and installers deserve a 5+ rating as in A+!
